Great playing and excellent demo of this amp. I recently picked up a 1962 Concert. Man this amp is a total sleeper, I had no idea the tone these things had.
Love the video! I like listening to ppl play the guitar. But the videos and the content are awesome. The only thing is I would like to see both of you play for a couple of videos please.
Thank you for the demo. It is a beautiful piece. I have to ask..have you heard of Roger Witacker? Hope I spelled hi name right..I remember him when I was younger..
Thanks for this video. At any point of time did you play with the amp cranked and no pedals? I'd realize you did another video cranking the amp while using a Strat, but I'd like to hear what that amp sounds like on its own at the various volumes.
Okay, you got guns and guitars covered. Do you have a car channel too ? If so, you've hit the trifecta of expensive hobbies. I'm an AK, classic Fender, and 5.0 Mustang guy myself
Bitchin' playing there sir! I maybe having a low-powered one of these amps built for me, as a head. I have a large 2x12 cab that I want to pair it with. Which lower-sensitivity 12" speakers do you think would go good with this amp? :)
How do you get your Les Paul to sound that bright? I have changed pickups and done the 50s style wiring harness. It still sounds muddy. ??? Please help. That thing sounds great.
A lot of the clarity and punch from this guitar is the Mini humbuckerd and the low output. Recently a friend let me try a Collings DC with a mini humbucker in it and I was hooked on the sound. Generally the lower the output, the brighter they sound.
@@Iraqveteran8888 I put a set of 7k neck and 8k bridge ohm paf replicas in it but still sounds terrible. Do you raise your pole pieces and lower your pickup? Some people say that helps. ??? Maybe the mini humbuckers are what I need. I just hate I spent so much money on these.
Very strange man. That amp with a good harness and decent PAFs should be the tits. Not sure what to tell you. Some guitars are just sonically dead. 🤷🏻♂️
All the series were unique but their goal was to have a clean amp. I'm old enough to remember whe Distortion was a bad thing. Fender kept at it and we eventually ended up with the silver face unfortunately. By the time they accomplished loud and clean everybody had moved on. They left the distortion Lane open for Marshall and Boogie. Fender has been trying to play catch-up ever since.
It's not a bias wiggle trem. I don't know how he's git the channel volumes & eq set up, but with the channels jumped you can kill some of the magic of the trem. Also, depending on how he has the intensity set, the muc nay nut ve catching the subtleties. Or the depth is low, or one of the tobe controls is set very low. Or the trem just isn't set up as well as it could be.
Wow. I hadn't heard of this model of amp before. But now I really want one... Great video as usual!
Mine is for sale: $3000.00
I love that bias controlled tremolo circuit. My tone king imperial uses the same method
I never would have guessed that you play a guitar like that. Thats fantastic .and you are damb good. Captjohn

I love mine sooo much. Paired with my Ampeg Reverberocket II I’m in heaven. There is nothing like natural tube overdrive.
I enjoy your videos Eric..keep going the way you do!
So glad I have one
Thumbs up Eric! Didn't know you also played guitar. Been watching your other channel for years🙉
Nice playing. Had a late 50s fender concert when i was 14-15 yrs old. I always had the best amps thanks to my dad who was played for a living.
I have never heard one before. awesome. thanks for doing a vid on this amp. and please keep it up. : )
You’re right, that trem channel has a wonderful hint of univibe/vibrato - just a nice bit of chew to the signal.

Great sounding amp. Great playing too!!!
Thanks man. Yeah this amp is awesome. Not fun to move around but certainly sounds wonderful. Especially turned up halfway or better.
Just keep doing it how you're doing it!
I like your playing, Nice frasing !
That would be "phrasing", but yeah he can play.
The second and third amps I ever played through, were two different early '60s Concerts when they were brand new, essentially.
I have a LP and a Concert ... nice combination
Great Video!!
Be careful how deep you delve into that jazz fusion. Remember what happened to Jaco Pastorius.
Thank you for the demo. It is a beautiful piece.
I have to ask..have you heard of Roger Witacker? Hope I spelled hi name right..I remember him when I was younger..
Is that the tactical goldtop? Or "just" a Deluxe?
Great demo and nice playin! That’s a beautiful amp. What mic are you using to record the amp?

It's a phaser, it's what predated hendrixes phaser

More doodling, shut the hell up, lol. Thank you very much for the uploads! Such an enjoyment listening.

Try lowering the pickups a bit. They may be too high. What amp are you running?
@@Iraqveteran8888 I use an early 70s silverface deluxe reverb. It sounds great with my g&l asat.

Dialed in fantastic recorded tone. Here... let’s just move this... 5:26
The Brownface amps overdrive the best.
They certainly have a mid range growl that is hard to deny.

Use 9s?
This guitar is set up 10-46
Easy creature
That doesn't sound like the harmonic tremolo to me at all. On 7 it should be sounding real univibey. That sounds like the bias vary type.

Noodling makes me cringe but nice amp tone
Schwing!
HANG ON ..... shouldn't this guy have a gun in his hand?
wtf is that iraqveteran8888?!
