@cavemanfaller9886 do you guys ever use any kind of explosives for the trees that are too dangerous to cut? Just curious about the process. Only experience I have are the small trees and limbs in my yard.
Now that is amazing skill with a chainsaw. Although those chips and sawdust would probably choked me half to death! In my younger days I had thought I might have liked to work as a lumberjack/logger for a season or two. But that is awfully damned hard work and dangerous as hell. Kudos to those brave and tough enough to keep the lumber flowing!
Nice to see a Cutter who knows what he's doing. Cut many of those cedars myself. Great Job 👍. Keep the chips flying, and may the wind always be with your lay.
Man what a professional job i love it i am glad to see the Hemet so many loggers have died from lose limbs falling from above may the Lord be with you on your journey ❤
It's always sad when a tree that magnificent dies. Hope you put it to good use at least. That's easily 2 winters worth of firewood, or a fortune of lumber assuming the trunk was healthy and solid further up.
I'm here late. By 3 years. I just don't see trees you can walk through get dropped perfectly like that where I'm from. It says killer tree and I had no idea if it was gonna barber chair or what. 👏 Bravo!
That tree definitely was in a great big fire, saw the fire marks on it. I don’t think I would have cut it down the correct way, props to this guy, truly did a professional job!
I like your rig on your back, to hold your wedges and ax, where its accessible and safe at all times! You, sir, have ⚾⚾ of STEEL !!! Thank you for your video!
I only do the trees that no one else wants to do but even I'd have shat myself looking at that one. You are a true pro and a master of your trade, much respect.
As a tree surgeon, this was making me anxious. I’ve seen trees split vertically up while being felled, scary stuff. Great job. Poor lizard at the end didn’t know what was happening haha
Over here in Australia it is the 'the spotted gum' we call them widow makers. You get part way through, and split vertically, then shatter throwing large spinters every where
Super skilled. What's so dangerous about these trees is that regardless of where he placed the wedges if the wind catches the top of the tree it's just going to fall it in any direction it wants.
No its not the wind at all lol. Cut in the wrong place too deep and the whole side may blow out. When that happens the tree can fall straight down, like collapsing upon itself, right where you are cutting, not falling sideways like you expect it too. There is also a “barber chair” effect, which is rare but can easily be fatal.
You are a true professional! In my opinion you were accomplishing more than 1 thing at a time and staying 2 steps ahead of whatever you were wanting to happen. You have my respect.😊
Nice cutting! When I call the falling Mod, those trees are on fire, then I spend all day putting it out. Wishing I had their saw so I could buck it up at that point. Those trees just burn and burn till you scrape all that hot charcoal out.
After the best trees are culled out often all thats left are these trees on legs. They are often still growing. Some are so big you can walk inside and are as big as a lounge room. Tingle trees in West Australia are famous for nassive cavities. Plant more trees!!!!!!!
We have way too many trees here in the Sierras, due to 150 years of fire suppression. Because of that, when we get wildfires the trees are so close together that they fire gets into the crowns of the trees. Couple that with an upslope wind, and they are unstoppable.
We did a big fir tree just like this one in British Columbia, still wouldn’t fall even after cutting 3 of the 4 pillars, ended up blasting it for safety reasons 😁
Blasting was my thought also. Having one fall on me decades ago, I was in a state of constant cringe watching that. He has some mad skills demonstrated here. I would have said there was no way to predict which way that was going by fall but he obviously knew the lean. Great job and good luck.
One of the most dangerous occupations going-arborists/loggers don’t get the respect they deserve. You truly have to know what you are doing, one false move could be your last.👍✌️
The heavy storms and gales we seem to be getting more and more of this century have laid waste to many heavily wooded areas. We need to use more of that timber to produce more electricity instead of oil and diesel.
I was walking in the redwoods up in Humboldt County, windy day. Heard a loud crack above my head. Before I could react 10 feet away from me there was a loud thud, the ground shook and a giant branch 10 inches around 12 foot long, with a huge point on the end came down about 80 feet and impaled itself into the ground over 2 feet.😮.
That is a scary freaking tree I've cut down some trees similar but never that big a lot of times we'll put straps around them and crank them down to stop them from Barber chairing or at least slow them down to give you time to run like a mad bastard
@@cavemanfaller9886 Well, I guess you've looked at a heck of a lot of trees over the years. For my part, I'd have gone with det cord and a kicker to bring that monster down.
thats the nature of Redwoods in my experience. At two centuries there is a predominant tendancy to stand with a hollow centre such as this one . But strong dense timber as you found when cutting. WTH? It's a living?
Props to the skill required to cut that down safely... way beyond my skill level, I probably would have resorted to wrapping some Detcord to it and stepping back a bit 🤣
More stones than I have. I was good, but those kind of trees are widow makers. Respect for a true pro. He made it look easy.
Thank you sir
Dangerously easy... I feel like I could do it after watching this
@cavemanfaller9886 do you guys ever use any kind of explosives for the trees that are too dangerous to cut? Just curious about the process. Only experience I have are the small trees and limbs in my yard.
thata a redwood not a pine
If that was me cutting the tree down. I’m sure it would have fell exactly where my truck was parked.
If I find such a tree on my property. It's coming down w tannerite from 200 yds away
Exactly, literally my first thought, might be harder to control direction of fall but oh well
If you don’t understand how to fall a tree like that…..don’t. There’s a good chance it is the last thing you will ever attempt.
seriously, watching that i changed my plan a bunch...which way is it gunna go?
You listen here, buddy boy. That's a real-life tree you're talking about. Respect your elders wacko!
Even for a pro this thing is dangerous AF.

Highly amazing thoroughly thought-out masterful workmanship. !!!! You have my kudos.

Flipping perfect. I learn a lot watching these videos. I look back on my previous larger trees fell'd and see where I got lucky a lot of times.
So did I.
Fuck. That took some balls to fell a tree like that. We don’t see burned out stuff like that in my part of the country. Huge props and great work!
Yeah, there are a lot of Cedar and Redwood trees in California, and they grow really big and tall... :)
Nice to see cutters out there not make a 35 minute drama show out of things!
In and out
Is 35mins a special length then? - the drama was 100% great!

That tree really didn't want to go. Reckon he cut more than he wanted too!. Did see the squirrel, hope the little dude survived!. Nice one. Nuff said.
Wow. I wouldn't have even known how to begin thinking about bringing that thing down. Great job.

Not having a resperator while cutting cedar is insane. Cedar dust leads to major lung issues.
