Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hey Zach, when you and John Deere teamed up and gave Farm Rescue 5k each, it inspired my wife and I to give $500.00 to them. There are going to be a lot of farms that will need Farm Rescue's help because of Covid-19, especially livestock farmers who are having to euthanize animals that can't be harvested. Keep up the good work and good luck this growing season!

If the demo machine hiccups and you shut off the camera right away, JD sends a repair person immediately. If you own the machine and there is no camera, the repair takes a bit longer and costs more. Or you may be lucky, and the problem is with dirt in a part that comes apart easily without tools. The situation with repairability of old and new machines was not discussed in the segment.

Worked construction until the economy out there died. Went back to school and got a degree in electronics, and moved back home to Minnesota and went to work for a hospital in South Dakota. We bought an acreage on the home farm where we still live today. I kind of live vicariously through your channel. Love your machinery trials and hope you will be able to continue to do them. Hahaha, great showmanship Zach! It’s fantastic to have seen the development over the years when it comes to machinery, I was born in-67 and remember that my father even had horses for the work when I was a toddler.
Of course they had some really Jurassic tractors as well and from there on the horses went out and similar tractors like the Minneapolis Moline came into use like the Massey-Ferguson 1000 series in the beginning of the 70’s era, then it became newer models and John-Deere’s and before my father became a pensioner it was Fendt only, most likely because one of the uncles were a AGCO Dealer.
Hopefully you’ll get a nice summer to watch everything grow, and luckily you don’t have any hay to deal with when it is super hot over the summer, it’s been a curse to sweat, get long arms, strong fingers, and a sunburn that looks like a white T-shirt even though not wearing any shirt over the year’s.... but that’s part of history now and great memories.
    All the best from Sweden

Leave those dandelions along. When I used to mow my parent's house my mother would tell me "Don't cut up my pretty flowers". Little did she know that people kill them.
One thing about them, you didn't have plant, water or fertilize them. Just enjoy the flowers.

After working 5 years on an almond orchard , i learned how to operate John Deere much smaller tractors focused for rows of trees. It was the perfect John Deere circa 2004-6 era non- gps or tech driven type of tractor. I learned all about almonds in those short years. My boss/landlord was my mentor and he wasnt a blow hard know it all. He actually knew it all and he taught this city boy how to prune 40 acres of trees. You kind of remind me of him except your not 65 and a former Hells Angel turned farmer.
