Here's a recommendation: try claws with Barbaric Roar: the charge attack does a lot of damage and gives the claws surprising hyper armor, so you can catch people off guard and use it to trade very easily.

@@joeledger It is. I was running a build with 104 poise (79 w/o Bull Goat Talisman) and I was able to trade clean through a GUGS R1 and out-damage him in a trade, felt very satisfying.
I did a build with that on the serpent fangs that was really good

Something I noticed you didn't mention about these is that they have inherent guard penetration. That with the rather high bleed buildup makes for a pretty potent combo.
I have a vid idea, raptor talons, they have a unique charged heavy attack that has deceptive range and can easily roll catch
I really liked that first opponents bow build. Never really seen anyone pvp with a bow and it looks really fun.
Quick step is really OP in the hands of a skilled player

I love this one with Flame Art infusion on Flaming Strike with a partial Faith build. Very high damage by itself with the addition of some incantations like Honed Bolt

Running this weapon and buffing with bloodflame is terrifying. Combined with bloodhound's step, it's almost undefeatable in the right hands.
I think it would be interesting if you done 2 lances but use both but put an invisible spell on the right armaments. I see that lance has been covered but any long reaching weapon could work.
There’s only one time when bloodhound step would be acceptable and it is how you are using it my friend.

Impaling Thrust works on claws? ... Good to know, the weapons need roll catch potential.
Occult is fair, but the strongest setup with this weapon is on Strength scaling whilst using bloodflame buff or blood grease.

Should try Barbaric Roar on these Claws. The heavy combo it gives you will make you feel like wolverine himself.

tip: trigger the bloodhound go back to the entrance and spam incantions
the guy you are fighting at @11:44 is trying to land that R2 really badly because that specific roar turns ur r2 into a 4 swing combo with crazy hyper armor that'll poise almost everything so if u get caught with the first hit ur losing the trade 99% of the time. I made a request for you to try this roar (barbaric roar) out with the blood nagakiba on an arcane build with the Wakizashi dagger in ur off hand with that having parry. so u 2h the naga then l2 for barbaric roar and then go back to power stance the naga and wakizashi. youll have the 4 swing combo with full hyper armor and then parry for L2. Also the wakizashi acts as a katana so power stancing this dagger with any katana will give u the dual wield moveset of the katanas. BTW ive asked this to be shown like 2 months ago and commented on 3-4 videos back to back to back. if u wana be unique and make a different video than the last 20 you made all being the same exact thing. Do this

I feel like all you need to match arcane on claws is invest a few points to reach 10 arcane and 12 fth and get Bloodflame Blade. Spend the rest of the points however you like.

One issue I have games like these even when they try to mimic real life. They fail to actually implement real power of spears. They make them something that is easy to dodge and that spear user can't change trajectory in middle of attack. Thus players can't take full advantage of the different in reach.

I can’t figure out bleed+arcane
Some people say don’t go over 50-60 arcane, some say arcane only damage scales with weapon arts or ashes/spells.
Some say diminishing returns for status build up, and a weapon that already has high bleed already on it shouldn’t go arcane it should go bleed to increase bleed as arcane lowers the bleed and the weapons light/heavy still are physical.
I can’t find definitive information on where to allocate stats for let’s say the scavengers curved swords.
54 is the bleed buildup hardcap for occult, after that it's only damage, blood infusion may net about more +30 bleed in general but also around 10% less AR
Bleed infusion will make your weapon do more status build up than occult, occult will net you more damage than bleed though. Occult would be for pure arcane builds and bleed would be more of a dexterity or dex/arcane build. Which you choose depends on how many levels you have to play with and what damage you're comfortable playing with. In my experience a pure arcane build would be better for level 125, but at like 150 or higher a dex/arcane build would start performing just as well. Keep in mind occult does force you to use certain weapons that already have bleed on them to capitalize on bleed build up while bleed infusions can just be slapped on basically anything. Hope my ramblings were helpful lol

The Running Heavy attack combos into a Regular Heavy attack. Impaling Thrust is a good follow up to this combo with great potential to roll catch and proc bleed.
In the 3rd fight, against cheese... so good, you read his moves like a book.. and the way you were quicksteeping his jump attacks were surpurb [chef's kiss] .

I love these weapon showcases, but some of these pvp builds are not that good for pve.. it's pretty tough trying to pure pyromance through haligtree zone without running out of resources..
