ANOTHER GENIUS piece of gear. I was nearly positive at @4:39 you were going to mention using it to balance the volume between something like a Tele and Les Paul. Like I said, GENIUS!
Id KILL to be able to modify the fade in and out times. I kept waiting for it but i never heard mention of that, only taper differences, which IS great too.
This is awesome Dan! I might be able to make room on my board for this - great for P&W stuff. Just need a 3 channel Wet/Dry/Wet Mixer in a pedal that can also be used as a parallel mixer like the Wetter Box but with 3 inputs and MIDI control! I really think you could this happen and I can't be the only one who needs this essential tool...
@@beauruutz no worries, I was reading your post and was thinking the Parallelizer would be perfect. I have one that I use post a reactive load in a W/D/W rig.
I've been looking for an option like this for years!! Leave the audio on the board and have the volume pedal on the floor, which is essential for playing my lap steel. I assume the the boost function cannot be used in addition to the volume? Thanks guys, you are awesome!!
I'd hazard a guess that the More-or-Less works well with active and passive basses, too... ? Sweet idea and great execution. Also, that's some good video 🤘🔥🤘
I've been on the search for something like this for years. I hate messing with my guitars volume knob (but love the tones when you do mess with it). I would much rather step on a pedal to make this change then try to remember where (especially between song) where i need to set a knob.
This product is perfect, but what about the buffers if the rig contains a grumpy old fuzz? (Like a fuzz face). Can you turn off the input/output buffers? Thanks
Thanks mate, it’s an active volume module so always low impedance on the output, but do try it after your fuzz, have had great success having it in that location 👍
Exciting. I'm always looking for MIDI controllable clean boosts. Jackson Audio Bloom and Source Audio EQ2 have been my go-to pedals for this, but the More or Less may prove to be the better option.
Dan, can you do that Landau thing where the gain is fixed but he's using volume pedal to turn it up or down. I would like to try that but I don't get how it's done. Thanks!
hopefully this makes sense...if i had a volume pedal between guitar and cranked marshall and your More or Less in the fx loop controlled by a 2nd volume pedal, could i go toe down for more high gain sound or go heel down and the sound cleans up but volume difference is made up by More or Less? If both pedals are rocked as a pair it sweeps from cleaner to rock and roll without losing volume? It's a pet idea that may not be good in practice but sounds cool in my head. thank you for what you do
What happens if no expression pedal is plugged in to the More or Less while the More or Less is still patched in the signal chain? Does it default to a certain setting?
HELP ? I've got an amp (Boss WAZA Head) which has an input on the GAFC for controller for an expression pedal to attenuate the overall amp volume. So I connect a standard expression pedal with a TRS connector to that socket and I set the minimum volume using the little knob on the now connected control pedal. What I want is a single on/ff button to use for the respective Heel and Toe positions (instead of a whopping great control pedal). Your pedal sounds like and in line pedal like and EP boost where the signal is passed through the pedal. My understanding is that with a control pedal kit is like turning a knob on your amp and so the actual guitar signal does not travel through the pedal. Am I correct or is there a way of using it for my stated purpose? Thanks :). (ps you can try out my awesome Waza head in my studio anytime you like in my home studio :))
Hi there and thanks for the kind offer 👍 Using TheGigRig FSL Latching Footswitch you can toggle between the two set levels as per the video. And you are correct, there is no audio in the footswitch or expression pedal, the audio is only in the More Or Less 🤓🙏
Looks cool but I'm not sure I get it. Considering most boards have a volume pedal and at least 1 boost pedal that could boost or cut, what's the advantage here? I feel it's me missing something.
Hi there. Don't agree that most boards have evolve pedal, probably for many of the reasons highlighted in this vid. We've combined a volume pedal, booster, signal buffer in a very easy to use unit. Thanks for watching 🤓🙏
if using it before gain, i tend to agree. i use my volume knob almost as much as i play the thing!... but putting it in the loop or after gain for a 2nd master volume can't be done with the volume knob alone.
Just amazing, you tackled all the issues we’ve had with vol pedals over the years! Love the 12dB boost option too 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much, my friend. Hope you are amazing.
Bloody Hell, Dan. You have got some brilliant engineers. I have a feeling this will be on my board soon.
Thanks mate 🙏
People go on about the Golden Age of effects pedals but we’re just as much in a Golden Age of utility pedals too!

This is literally what I’ve been waiting for! Thanks guys you’ve really solved a problem here! Congratulations on the new release 👍
Thanks so much Ben, really appreciate it 🙏
Hats off to the high production values of this vid - good job, & of course I want one👍
Was literally searching for a pedal that jumps between set volumes just the other day. Amazing work Daniel!
Glad you like it! 🙏
FINALLY! I have been waiting for somebody to make this exact thing.
How can less be more? More is more!
That could be just what I've been looking for 🔥
Fantastic!! I didn’t know I needed something
cheers mate
This seems great and then you added cv input which is a nice touch that turns into a whole other pedal like a boss slicer
Thanks Robert

Thanks Scott, yes works great with any instrument level active or passive and is awesome on bass as well. 👍
Ok... I need that. More or less to be honest :D

This is amazing, Dan!
Can it be controlled via MIDI for rack based applications or to allow heel/toe preset changes?
I've been wondering why volume pedals don't have tremelo setting capabilities
Flippin brilliant 🙌
Thanks, Mate, appreciate it
Wow! Useful!
Thanks mate, we think so too 🙏
This looks epic Dan! Will it work in front of a fuzz face? Also, is the boost always active or is there a setting for exact unity gain at full toe?
Nevermind I see... toe pot all the way down for unity?
Hell Yeah!
Exactly 👍

I don’t believe this does midi though, right?
@@basvredeling hi, no, either and expression pedal or CV. Thanks 🙏
soundsculpture volcano if you need midi
The Oscillator Devices Siren has midi and is stereo. Also Free the Tone eq's do midi and master volume, so that's a possible contender too.
Dan, can you do that Landau thing where the gain is fixed but he's using volume pedal to turn it up or down. I would like to try that but I don't get how it's done. Thanks!
Hi, yes mate either place it after the overdrive pedal or in the loop of the amp so that the gain stays fixed and you’re just changing the volume 👍
Yep!
hopefully this makes sense...if i had a volume pedal between guitar and cranked marshall and your More or Less in the fx loop controlled by a 2nd volume pedal, could i go toe down for more high gain sound or go heel down and the sound cleans up but volume difference is made up by More or Less? Hi Ryan, yeah, I love this idea!
Awesome! 👌🏻⚡️💯
Thank you! Cheers!
I dig it!
thats cool and all but when is the update for the g3 actually coming...
Yes, mate, had a big meeting about it yesterday and we are pushing as hard as we can. I promise it will be out soon.
Can I control the more or less with my switch remotes from my G3 Atom ? Thank you for all your clever products !
thanks Nicolas. You'd need a custom cable from the remote Switch output but yes, absolutely 🤓👍
Does it go to 11? 🤔
What happens if no expression pedal is plugged in to the More or Less while the More or Less is still patched in the signal chain?
Does it default to a certain setting?
Hi there, yes, with the expression pedal unplugged it sets to unity so it becomes a balanced buffer 🤓👍

when splitting to 2 different amps, how do you avoid ground issues? is there a ground lift?
Hi. If splitting to two different amps you'd use a HumDinger as the last thing in the chain before the second amp. 🤓🙏
Park. Knocked. Out. Again. Q: if using this as a split to another amp is there a phase / inversion/ ground etc switch?
Thanks Mate, no, this is where you would use a humdinger to do that job. Cheers mate.

Can I control 2 of these with one pedal?
To boot, can you use two of these, but invert the heel/toe positions on one? So, as one gets louder, the other gets quieter?
