The More or Less is the volume control you've always wanted.
Imagine being able to set the heel and toe values giving you the perfect sweep between your minimum and maximum levels.
Imagine being able to add 12 DB of boost, turning your volume pedal into a booster with a multi coloured LED telling you if you're cutting, boosting or at unity?
Now add your favourite expression pedal to give you the footprint and feel you want.
Use it with instrument or line level effects, just place it anywhere you like.
More Control... Less Hassle, More Flexibility... Less Footprint...
Introducing the GigRig 'More or Less'.
How does it sound?
More or Less is based around the pre-gain circuit of The GigRig G3 Switching System. The audio is internally balanced and isolated for clarity and exceptional low noise.
We also step up the voltage internally to 18V giving you enough headroom to use More or Less in any signal chain from instrument to line-level applications.
See your Volume!
The multicoloured LED Indicator will display where you are in your chosen sweep.
GREEN = Less than Unity
AMBER = Unity
RED = More than Unity
Input Buffer
You can place More or Less anywhere in your signal chain and utilise the awesome buffer. Have it as the first in line as your input buffer, last in line as the output buffer, or anywhere in between. Unplugging the expression input sets More or Less to a unity buffer.
Booster
Whether you're using an expression pedal or the separate FSL Footswitch, it is easy to turn More or Less to a booster by simply adjusting the Toe value to the amount boost that you want. More or Less has up to 12dB of gain on tap.
Underdriver
Running your normal signal below Unity? Set the heel position to be below unity to easily toggle between the Underdriver setting to Unity setting.
This can be a fantastic way to set up your rig, especially when you don't want to boost the amount of level going into your amplifier.
Active Splitter
The signal at the input is split directly between the main out and the auxiliary out. With no cables connected to the expression pedal input or with the expression set to unity, More or Less is a studio quality active signal splitter.
CV Controlled VCA
An internal DIP switch allows you to control More or Less with either an expression pedal or a control voltage.
People go on about the Golden Age of effects pedals but we’re just as much in a Golden Age of utility pedals too!
Just amazing, you tackled all the issues we’ve had with vol pedals over the years! Love the 12dB boost option too 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much, my friend. Hope you are amazing.
More is more!
Bloody Hell, Dan. You have got some brilliant engineers. I have a feeling this will be on my board soon.
Thanks mate 🙏
How can less be more? More is more!
Hats off to the high production values of this vid - good job, & of course I want one👍
This is literally what I’ve been waiting for! Thanks guys you’ve really solved a problem here! Congratulations on the new release 👍
Thanks so much Ben, really appreciate it 🙏
Well done. Always three steps ahead ❤
cheers Scott 🙏
Was literally searching for a pedal that jumps between set volumes just the other day. Amazing work Daniel!
Glad you like it! 🙏
FINALLY! I have been waiting for somebody to make this exact thing.
Awww man... I just placed an order with you guys. I would've ordered this too!
Thanks Aaron 🙏
That could be just what I've been looking for 🔥
Brilliant! I'm buying one!
thanks Greg, we have one ready for you 🙏
Cool product Dan!
thanks mate 🤓🙏
Fantastic!! I didn’t know I needed something
cheers mate
wow! I've been kicking around building this for years
Ok... I need that. More or less to be honest :D
Id KILL to be able to modify the fade in and out times. I kept waiting for it but i never heard mention of that, only taper differences, which IS great too.
Awesome product :)
Glad you like it! 🤓🙏
I'd hazard a guess that the More-or-Less works well with active and passive basses, too... ?
Sweet idea and great execution.
Also, that's some good video 🤘🔥🤘
Thanks Scott, yes works great with any instrument level active or passive and is awesome on bass as well. 👍
Yep!
Bravo Daniel!
Cheers mate 🙌
This is awesome Dan! I might be able to make room on my board for this - great for P&W stuff.
Just need a 3 channel Wet/Dry/Wet Mixer in a pedal that can also be used as a parallel mixer like the Wetter Box but with 3 inputs and MIDI control! I really think you could this happen and I can't be the only one who needs this essential tool...
I think the Musicom Lab Parallelizer might work for you.
@@bluesful this is exactly what I need!!! Thank you!!!! 😊
@@beauruutz no worries, I was reading your post and was thinking the Parallelizer would be perfect. I have one that I use post a reactive load in a W/D/W rig.
I've been looking for an option like this for years!! Leave the audio on the board and have the volume pedal on the floor, which is essential for playing my lap steel. I assume the the boost function cannot be used in addition to the volume? Thanks guys, you are awesome!!
Cheers mate. Just set the toe position to be a boost and away you go. 🙏
Flippin brilliant 🙌
Thanks, Mate, appreciate it
Love this!
Thanks Matt 🙏
Wow! Useful!
Thanks mate, we think so too 🙏
I dig it!
Awesome! 👌🏻⚡️💯
Thank you! Cheers!
I've been wondering why volume pedals don't have tremelo setting capabilities
I've been on the search for something like this for years. I hate messing with my guitars volume knob (but love the tones when you do mess with it). I would much rather step on a pedal to make this change then try to remember where (especially between song) where i need to set a knob.
thanks so much Nathan
Exciting. I'm always looking for MIDI controllable clean boosts. Jackson Audio Bloom and Source Audio EQ2 have been my go-to pedals for this, but the More or Less may prove to be the better option.
thanks so much 🤓🙏
I don’t believe this does midi though, right?
@@basvredeling hi, no, either and expression pedal or CV. Thanks 🙏
soundsculpture volcano if you need midi
The Oscillator Devices Siren has midi and is stereo. Also Free the Tone eq's do midi and master volume, so that's a possible contender too.
This seems great and then you added cv input which is a nice touch that turns into a whole other pedal like a boss slicer
Thanks Robert
This is amazing, Dan!
Can it be controlled via MIDI for rack based applications or to allow heel/toe preset changes?
The Nashville sound guy is going to hate it but im gonna be soloing too loud to hear him. never bought anything so fast lol
Hahahahh!!! Awesome 🙌
Dan, can you do that Landau thing where the gain is fixed but he's using volume pedal to turn it up or down. I would like to try that but I don't get how it's done. Thanks!
Hi, yes mate either place it after the overdrive pedal or in the loop of the amp so that the gain stays fixed and you’re just changing the volume 👍
This looks epic Dan! Will it work in front of a fuzz face? Also, is the boost always active or is there a setting for exact unity gain at full toe?
Nevermind I see... toe pot all the way down for unity?
Hell Yeah!
Exactly 👍
thats cool and all but when is the update for the g3 actually coming...
Yes, mate, had a big meeting about it yesterday and we are pushing as hard as we can. I promise it will be out soon.
hopefully this makes sense...if i had a volume pedal between guitar and cranked marshall and your More or Less in the fx loop controlled by a 2nd volume pedal, could i go toe down for more high gain sound or go heel down and the sound cleans up but volume difference is made up by More or Less? If both pedals are rocked as a pair it sweeps from cleaner to rock and roll without losing volume? It's a pet idea that may not be good in practice but sounds cool in my head. thank you for what you do
Hi Ryan, yeah, I love this idea!
I'll take six of them, please.
Can I control the more or less with my switch remotes from my G3 Atom ? Thank you for all your clever products !
thanks Nicolas. You'd need a custom cable from the remote Switch output but yes, absolutely 🤓👍
when splitting to 2 different amps, how do you avoid ground issues? is there a ground lift?
Hi. If splitting to two different amps you'd use a HumDinger as the last thing in the chain before the second amp. 🤓🙏
Looks cool but I'm not sure I get it. Considering most boards have a volume pedal and at least 1 boost pedal that could boost or cut, what's the advantage here? I feel it's me missing something.
Hi there. Don't agree that most boards have evolve pedal, probably for many of the reasons highlighted in this vid. We've combined a volume pedal, booster, signal buffer in a very easy to use unit. Thanks for watching 🤓🙏
Park. Knocked. Out. Again. Q: if using this as a split to another amp is there a phase / inversion/ ground etc switch?
Thanks Mate, no, this is where you would use a humdinger to do that job. Cheers mate.
@@TheGigRigDanielnice one, ta
Does it go to 11? 🤔
My Headrush does all this already 🤷🏻♂️
Cool, this is all analog so a different thing 👍
@@TheGigRigDaniel I guess this is designed for people who use analog pedals.
Can I control 2 of these with one pedal?
To boot, can you use two of these, but invert the heel/toe positions on one? So, as one gets louder, the other gets quieter?
I can't keep on buying stuf!!!
I agree, stop after this one 😂🤣
@@TheGigRigDaniel just did hahahah
@@josepantojaguitar hahahaha 😂 cheers mate 🙏
Just learn how to use the volume control on the guitar.
Thanks Eric
if using it before gain, i tend to agree. i use my volume knob almost as much as i play the thing!... but putting it in the loop or after gain for a 2nd master volume can't be done with the volume knob alone.
