My 4.8 all were around 155, except #6 had 125 ..So, nonetheless, it runs great, idles perfect. With 319.000 miles that pretty damn good. The thing to do is keep oil change and add some stp, or engine restore. I have no doubt I can get another 150000 miles of that engine amigo.
thank you for your video, I have a 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7l with a 306 code has 75k miles. I replaced the coil 2 times and the plug. I really don't think it is likely that the rings are bad at only 75,000 miles and the jeep was well taken care of. how many hours should it take to replace the fuel injector on number 6 for this car that has external fuel rails?
I had a truck that had a low compression too, but it wasn't that the rings were worn, or the piston bad, it was a bent push rod which affected the compression rate.
I replaced Athens following in the past yr with original Delco part's all coil packs new plugs wire fuel injectors, I had a intake manifold leak tht was repaired by the gym dealership also both Valve cover gaskets

Misfires usually occur due to ignition problems such as: Faulty coil packs, sparks plugs, ignition wires, cap and rotor. Fuel delivery problems such as: Restricted injectors, leaking injectors and injectors not spraying fuel. Mechanical problems such as: Valve train problems, worn piston rings that cause low compression and jumped timing chain/belt. Sometimes even a bad intake manifold gasket will cause misfires due to a vacuum leak on the intake runners.
I did the intake and manifold gaskets and I still have a misfire in cylinder 6 does it sound like my engine needs to be rebuilt I haven't did a compassion test yet

I had the same code on my 09 Volkswagen Routan I took off the spark plug and the spark plug was black and the gap was at 0 I don't even know how that was possible

It was actually a bad lifter

This vehicle does not have a distributor.
So the problem is the gasket that covers the spark plug? Im not a mechanic. Was the problem fixed.

You may have a problem with the valve rocker arm/or valve lash adjuster for #6
Compression check will help allot to determine a mechanical problem
Found water in spark plug galley. wet inside boot, spark goes to ground, rough idle. Clean & install new plugs.
Where did you plug the reading meter to?

Yes, especially if the gasket is not sealing properly in that specific cylinder intake runner.
