I just got done swapping my engine for a used one and I think this video tells me exactly what to look for. I’ve had my hood popped open while working on this and not latched and it’s been raining a good amount here in California recently. I’ll be looking at this first!
I have a 2004 trailblazer with 230000 miles on it and I'm also having a misfire, but it's intermittent and that's one thing I'll have to check is for moisture. Thanks
@@KevinNadeau Hey Kevin did you end up having to replace the valve cover gasket or did changing the seals on the coil packs work in resolving your misfire? I am also having the same issue lol
Hey bud I hadve/had the same issue running ugly I changed the 6 spark plugs then 1coil waiting for the new one to come in. now it won’t start it cranks but won’t start I think I put the plug in to the new coil backwards causing a new problem I don’t know where to start it’s cranking but not starting now
I’ve heard of guys replacing the VVT solenoid and the misfires went away. Have you checked compression on the cylinders? You could also check for vacuum leaks. Best of luck👍
There's a few sensors that become fouled and fail with old age and need replacing or at least cleaning. They are really great engines but cannot withstand a lack of astute maintenance.

You have many miles ahead of you with that truck. Good luck tracking down your misfire.
@@KevinNadeau they really don't make them like they used to. Rolled my 03 200,000 miles. Now have the 09 with 130.000
Hi, Kevin great vídeo thanks. I follow you from Cali Colombia. I have one 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer 4.2 L6 and your vídeos help a Lot.
I’m gonna need this channel for when I get my license.
👍
Great genuine video, subbed.
Can’t wait for the 350k update, that’s a good car
Thanks!👍
This is a common problem with these vehicles. Replace the seal under the hood where your windshield meets the hood.
That's the sense I'm getting about this issue. Do you happen to know the part number for the seal?
@@KevinNadeau well it keeps erasing the number for some reason

Hello sir, my battery is between 13 and 14. Does it cause problems for my car? My car vibrates especially with the AC on Thank you, for your reply
@@shvanaabdullah6859 That voltage should be fine. Have you narrowed down the cause of vibration any? Could be several things.
@@KevinNadeau thank you dear 🌹
@@KevinNadeau Upon turning on the compressor my car vibrates but I don't think it's a problem with the compressor
@@shvanaabdullah6859 Wonder if it’s the motor mounts. My engine had the shakes a while ago and new motor mounts solved the problem.
What makes a sticker placed on the window a "modification"?
It adds 10 hp 😂
Good video bud, had and have the same problem, gonna go through it again see if I have water build up again
👊
Thank you for sharing 🙏
👍
So did fix it or just temporarily cuz I’m having this problem right now , You didn’t change spark plug aswell right correct?
So far its still working fine. I could have also replaces the weather striping on the cowl, but didn't do that. I did not replace the spark plug.
@@KevinNadeau thanks I really hope mines is similar

friend help me I have a car of the same brand that you are fixing but I changed all the spark plug coils and the same code appears p0300

In my 2007 Acadia I just cleaned the throttle body cause it got backed up and all good
Yes think it help me lot

Also what is a power train.
A powertrain is an assembly of every component that puts your car into motion. It includes engine, transmission, driveshaft, axles, and differential.
Amén bro 💯🥊😁

I have this problem. I had everything replaced. But it still didn't fix the problem
There are probably more than a dozen things that could cause P0300 code. Did you change the spark plugs?

Until it rains again
spray the coils with wd40 to help
That is nice
Thanks👍
multiple misfire and random are actually diffrent.
Thanks for clarifying 👍
