I always go with Kratos and Zelos in my team during this part of the game. Literally the only time in the whole game you can have them both in your party at once. I also pick Genis for good measure.
Demon Fang! Demon Fang! Demon Fang! *DAMN I MUST BE A GENIUS* Double Demon Fang! Also, You probably already know this but if you use Lightning Blade or Hurricane Thrust just as the Demon Fang hits the Lightning/Air part of the attack will strike at range. The AI is surprisingly good at this!
I hope Lloyd figures out Quadruple Demon Fang in ToS 3 or the next "Remastered" version. Regarding your last sentence: I put Lloyd's and Kratos' DDF on L2/R2. Sometimes, Lloyd's AI ran toward Forcystus and normal attacked him, even though he shouldn't have had. Thus I got rid of those shenanigans and took it into my own hands... literally.
@@diaeitsch Ah! Don't shortcut them. If you want a ranged melee character set the AI to SKills/Magic Only and Only give them ranged attacks like Demon Fang, Lighting etc. If you give them Demon fang and Hurricane Thrust/Lightning Blade they will actually combo it at range! It's actually showcased on my latest LP video (37) at the 1:25 mark. Very helpful when you want the AI to stay back from a deadly foe.
@@DodgeThisBam Skills/Magic only and DDF (no other skills active) enabled still made Lloyd move towards him and normal attack before DDF. At least in one attempt. Of course now I cannot say with 100% confidence that the settings were indeed correct... Anyway, watched your video and always appreciate your input. Thanks!
Makes me wonder what this would've looked like if Emil was in this game. I'm already laughing my butt off. Poor Presea, no revival.Then again she wouldn't have gotten any experience
You can only chain 3 arte in a row, you can use only one arte of each level ( lvl1, 2 or 3 ) in the order ( except for Zelos/Kratos because of a Ex Gem ) and you cant chain some arte of the same family ( mostly lvl 2 and 3 arte ) except for combination ( you cant chain Heavy Tiger Blade and Double Tiger Blade but can chain Heavy Tiger Blade and Demonic Tiger Blade the only exception to this rule seems to be Lightning Blade and Super Lightning Blade who can be chained but i think Super Lightning Blade is a combination of Hurricane Thrust and Lightning Blade ^^ Regal can also use freely his arte as soon you use a Ground arte into anti air arte into aerial Arte or anti air arte into aerial Arte into ground arte ^^
