Shingle Mill Pathway Day 1

A mild three day weather window gave us the opportunity to explore the Pigeon River Country of Michigan. Over 106,000 acres of contiguous wild land in the "Heart of Northern Michigan". While our goal was to explore for a future thru-hike of the 80 mile High Country Pathway, we only had time to complete the shorter Shingle Mill Pathway. This area is also famous for its elk herd which we hoped to spot.
