My wife just bought this guitar for me for Christmas. In Olympic White. It’s a great guitar. Not one single flaw. I have several other expensive guitars and I love them. But I have NO problem having this Squier in my collection. It’s my only SSS strat. If I didn’t have all the other guitars I’d be totally content with having only this guitar.
thanks for the nice review i hate it when these reviewers start off by bashing it before they even play it. too negative for me. these guitars at this price point are excellent guitars new or used. down the road maybe some simple up grades if you feel so.
Hey well congratulations, man!! That's awesome and a more than worthy excuse. My daughter just finished her 1st year of college.... blows my mind. Haha. Cheers! See ya when I see ya. No rush. Appreciate the reply. Good luck to you and your little family.
You can’t go wrong with the Squier Sonic Series. A Stratocaster or a Telecaster for versatility. Try and buy from a rebuttable store that does set-ups on their guitars.
I bought a Squier Affinity Telecaster, I have started playing guitar after a multi year absence, to me it was a good choice not too expensive and I felt it was better than the cheaper choice, it sounds good and stays in tune well. Good Luck.
Thanks for watching! The main effect used there is a delay with a long decay and loud mix. Then by using the volume knob to get rid of the initial pick sound it makes it sound like a swell.
Hey man, I love the video. I was wondering if you could post the full version of this song 0:41 I’m not sure if it’s an original or not in anyways the video’s great and you helped me decide on my first electric guitar! Thank you.
Hey! Thanks for your kind words. The song is “With it Without You” by U2 and this cover is based on video by another creator. ua-cam.com/video/OyOs8Iuqiaw/v-deo.htmlsi=zNNnhDZsZBdPYEtA
Jazzmasters and Mustangs are more well known for being Shoegaze guitars so there’s the affinity Jazzmaster and the Sonic Mustang in the same price range. That being said I see no reason why you couldn’t use this guitar for shoegaze since shoegaze sound is defined by its use of pedals.

Can you please share the types of the pedals you used on the intro? Beginner here :)

Thanks for watching! It’s With or Without You by U2
Would you say this is good for shoegaze or would you reccomend something else in this price range?

Nice playing!
Mine was in blue with a laurel fretboard and NO GLOSS 😭
thank you for not playing boomer blues dad rock, really appreciate it
Thinking of getting one. Are the fret ends sharp?
The fretwork was pretty good on this particular example but I can’t speak for others.
@@themusicroom4104 Thanks for your help!
0:55 what is that pedal setup?!
Hi ! What is your amp on this test?
I used a fender mustang micro on the 60’s British (Vox) setting. Thanks for watching!
@@themusicroom4104thanks for providing the details, lots of other UA-cam videos either don’t even respond or don’t provide the detailed answer
9:10 song name ?
Something by the Beatles
A two piece neck is stronger and more stable and that's a fact.😮
