Fishing w/ a RUBBER DUCK Bath Toy (Actually Worked)

So I was in a crafts store getting supplies for an upcoming video and happened to see a set of rubber ducks. It got me thinking... could I catch a bass on topwater using that as my bait??? Well, there was only one way to find out. So, in today's video, I will show you how I added a hook and if it worked or not.

Awesome job. Reminds me of being a kid in the late 70s watching the weekend fishing shows. One show had a couple of fellows fishing a lake that literally had an open dump yard next to it. The lake was known for huge bass but nothing would hit the baits they were throwing. But they noticed a lot of top water action by the open dump piles. After checking it out they realized the bass were jumping rats that fell off the pile into the lake. They went into town and bought rubber toy mice and did just what you did. Rat lures are common today. You better hurry and trademark or patent that duck idea! Enjoyed the show!

How would one rig one up with a wire lead? I was thinking of giving this a try for pike

I would not have a clue how to thread that through the duck.

So what I ended up doing was making a small cut on the front and underside of the duck to thread the lead in and then superglued the holes. I pulled on the wire after to make sure it can still move (it does) so now all that’s left is to see if it works for pike 😂
