Are the clutch plates of semi-automatic motorcycle same with the manual? I have a semi-automatic Kawasaki Z125 and plan to order heavy duty clutch plates that riders use on their manual Z125 Pro. Very informative video. Was trying to pop my Z125 to no success. :)
You need a mechanic to physically compare the plates. Or to figure out the part numbers of the two bikes to see if they match. There isn't a magical way to know unfortunately. For example the Honda XR 150 (manual), has the same clutch plates as a Honda Wave (semi-auto). But you need to have physically seen both parts to know this. I am not familiar with Kawasaki bikes, so I can not advise.
The answer is yes the clutches are the same but a semi auto has two different types of clutches a normal motorcycle clutch and a centrifugal clutch. The motorcycle clutch is for changing gear like normal but the centrifugal clutch is for starting and stopping.
I’ve been kind of practicing rev matching by pressing down (not half pressing but fully pressing down) on the back pedal and rev the engine then release the pedal to down shift. So have I just been abusing my bike?
I had a semi-automatic scooter... You can drive with one hand...Id drive down a solitary Street shifting in between first and second gear while I would smoke a joint...🎉in Argentina though
Hello bro.... Do you mean if am going down a slope, and i intend going down silently, then assuming my gear is right at gear 4, then i press my front gear lever down.... With that also be likened as burning my clutch?
no it isn't. Burning the clutch is caused by half pressing the pedal and reving the engine. Imagine accidently resting your foot on the pedal while driving. This is what breaks these bikes.
@@Tigitmotorbikes so to confirm, will flooring my gear pedal (thus the full clutch) while going down hill, do any/little/much damage to the mechanism?
Hey Tigit John, I was coming over soon to do a 3 month ride through Vietnam, (was booked with you guys pre covid) Appears we can no longer get a 3 month Visa, Any thoughts? 1 month is too short 😵💫
Hi sir, may I ask for gear shifting do I have to release the throttle? If I just give full throttle at high rpm and just shift gear will that damage the gear?
If you are doing that slowly, but not super slowly. Then it is fine. But if you are dragging it out over many, many seconds. Then yes you will burn the clutch.
This moped type motorcycle only in southeast asian market, small easy to ride in city , it’s evolution from honda cub c70 year by year until today you can found 100cc to 150cc , install basket on it , ride , shopping and buy groceries 😂
It does have oil in it. But you can still burn it :) Has the added downside of the clutch plate particles getting into the oil and destroying the engine. If you burn the clutch, the oil needs changing as well!
Thanks your video,it saves my bike。
Nice, very interesting tips! Cheers!
Thank you for your help
Very informative!!!
Next time, can you talk how you can gently engage the clutch when down-shifting? And in doing so, does it cause undue wear and tear on the clutch?
For those with a height of 185 to 200 cm, that is too tall to ride a small motorbike
Every fcking bike. So doesn't matter
I'm 187 and I'm still riding those bike look tall asf

Why? If youre pressing down fully then your disengaging the clutch right?
You're not doing any damage because this is how to correctly downshift and rev match semi auto bikes.

It’s moped bike not scooter

Good question. I was wondering about the same

you can get 3 single 1 month E-Visas but you will need to do border runs. 1 month is great but of course 3 months is better :)
@@mebesaturday Yeah kinda sucks, a backwards step for tourism.

Yes.. Rev up then release throttle when up shiftting.. Down shifting more comfortable when use double throttle rev matching
@@jayaandrias3079How do you do that "double throttle rev?
@@blank_URL blip rev + downshift
When i shift up but press the pedal slowly instead of instantly, is that considered burning the clutch?

Does downshifting from gear 5 to 2 slowly, counts as engine braking OR, it will burn my clutch faster??
downshifting is engine braking. Nothing to do with the clutch
Those heal toe shifters are very unpopular in the USA.
Almost said "real" motorbike there 😂👍🏻

Can we use Scooter engine oil for semiautomatic bike like this?
No
No because it needs to be motorcycle oil which can be used with wet clutches.
Is it bad to come to a full stop in third gear, stay in third gear, then take off? And also can you downshift on these?
You can stop in third and take off, no problem.
You can downshift yes.
This is how you destroy clutch.
Soo i have a semi auto atv if i donut it can i burn my clutch
Not really no. That isn't really the way it works.
But a bike clutch has a wet clutch in oil? So you cant burn it?

@@Tigitmotorbikes but I was told you can only burn dry bike clutches

I think this happened on my friends scooter help!
Okay. So I’ve been watching people wheelie a Honda Super Cub (with a semi auto) and looks like they’re burning it up
Not sure what you mean by that. If you mean they are burning the clutch, then the reality is that they can't drive :)
That thing looks like a toy next to you lmao
