R.I.P. Numenorean. Such an amazing album and one of my favorite releases in recent memory, it’s still on heavy rotation now. I hope the remaining members decide to pursue other projects in the future. As a listener of extreme metal for around 30 years this album made my list of albums I just can’t part with. Numenorean ending is a true loss to the world of extreme music and to anyone who has had the privilege of listening to them.
I’m sorry to hear the band is no longer together, especially concerning the circumstances. If any of you guys read this, I want you to know this album has had a profound effect on me and I’ll always love it. Thanks.
yknow what's weird.....i was literally thinking the other day how it's been two years and i'm ready for a new album by them. and now i hear they've broken up. what the fuck, man. RIP 2011-2021
The title track 'Adore' works very well alone, but it's even better when heard in order like this. The album keeps building and bringing different elements, and it all has it's culmination in 'Adore'. Truly beautiful and talented album designing.
Jesus fuckin christ, the VOCALS, the raw VOCALS and emotion in the song "Portrait of Pieces" and the sounds of the guitars/drums, and the audio sample sounds with his screaming at the end, holy FUCK.
I remember when I first discovered this on a winter morning before a long drive. What a masterpiece of an album, these technical bands that never get massive ALL suffer from the things that plague smaller bands. This album will always hold a special place in my heart

I've been looking for other bands like this but none I've found quite capture the same feeling this one has. I guess that's when you know you've really found something special. What's strange is I don't even feel like their previous album is on this level. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

they're definitely inspired by Fall of Efrafa and Light Bearer, maybe even Altar of Plagues and Gris. if you want more of this type of sludgy/atmospheric post-black metal, I highly recommend checking out these bands.
Just finished listening, no doubt a great album, and will definitely buy. But at the same time I find it very debatable the fact that this is labeled as a type of Black Metal.
