YES, HE CAN SING. But it is doubtful whether he really can as he is a rapper and he is GREAT at it. But the concept of the program is to sing 07 songs that he likes. The thing is, we as crazy Sri Lankan classical music lovers, we do get a little upset when the pitch and original tone changes in an uncomfortable way.
He is a very talented artist. I can see that! But what with his voice?? Why does he change that when singing high notes?? It's kind of ugly I think! The only song I enjoyed throughout this video was the last one "Mal Pan Podak". Come on Randhir! use your talent.
The point of singing should not be to impress technically what your voice is capable of doing. It’s all about finding that sweet-spot key that brings out the soul of the song as well as the soul of your voice. I personally feel that he got it all wrong and sang them a few tones too high.
