Yeah… the whole “sometimes it’s better to play a bad character you know wel than a good one you don’t understand yet.” I relate to pretty hardcore. Like I’m brawl, Meta Knight is clearly the best in the game. I can play him and know how to abuse some of his tools like his touch of death combos, insane defense due to DI glitches, amazing recovering, speed, etc… but I don’t know all his nuances like when the opponent is at higher % which combos to use cause I don’t need to sue to multiple 0% to death combos. Toon Link on the other hand I can write a book on. He’s upper mid and has a 45/55 against meta knight in meta knights favor IF meta knight knows the matchup. Which most don’t cause Toon Link isn’t a common pick. So I do better plying as toon link in tournaments even though I know how to play MK to an extent. Same with UMvC3. I know ZMC is better than my team and doom is better than Ironman etc etc, but I still do better playing Spider/Dorm/Ironman.
dmc5 vergil is in a bit of a low point. he's hard to learn and currently banned at the weekly havengers tournament, dmc5 vergil a lot of OP stuff other than the infinite. i heard a patch is in the works, idk how close that is to being finished, kave is also working on Nero. i was learning to play dmc5 vergil until he got banned, and i will likely play him after the patch comes out if the nerfs are not enough.
@@Hossein_70s Havengers had originally allowed dmc5 vergil and banned only the use of the infinite combo, but there's other cheap stuff dmc5 vergil can do too. one example is super jumping to run away and doing air judgment cuts, you can do 3 in a row even on whiff, they track the opponent and on hit vergil can teleport to the ground and follow up with a full combo. any character with average speed or slower will have a losing match up to this strategy alone. when i have some spare time i can look back at the havengers tourneys and let you know which vods had dmc5 vergil. i know for sure Evasion played dmc5 vergil in TNS Palette Swap #7, but that was high level fundamentals more than character knowledge. in the havengers tournaments Piemente and KnowTruth are the 2 stand outs for having awesome combos using a ton of different tools.

ultron is a very good character, his speed and hitboxes shred like magneto. ultron got hit hard when tabs nerfed everyone, because the drones were too good. still a solid A.
He's very good, akin to magneto in terms of pressure and zoning. Honestly, Escalante just doesn't play this game, he's a marvel 3 player not a palette swap player. Dropped all his combos, didn't know how to DHC with him, called drones when he'd been push blocked out of range, still advances. Learning gambit routing on the fly was OD 😂
They are done by several people, Hunk is a RE character and his author Tabs is apparently a huge fan of the series, Hunk was originally his first attempt to do Leon but as he isn't fairly attached to him he went in a different direction and ended up doing Hunk, Leon still came out later on
