Diet definitely plays a big factor in autoimmune, I don't want to give any opinions besides doing journalized trials of different diets and finding what works best for you. Sadly, we don't have enough info yet and the politics of diet makes it a very muddy field of study.

At least start cutting sugar and processed foods out, and avoid gluten. I have to avoid all wheat gluten- free or not.
