Most people wait until things go on sale bc by the 4th of July Back to School is in stores so you have the month of June to get a bathing suit on sale before you are buying jeans and sweaters.
As someone who lives in Vegas I wish I can buy full arm without dying because of the heat. I hate getting hot. But $35 is good idk if I can find one for that cheap.
I think todays makeup prices are insane too. Even ‘drugstore’ products today range from $10-$22 dollars when just a few years ago you’d be able to find so many products for $5 or less😭
Todays makeup prices have increased mainly because of all the wars and conflicts currently happening all around the world, each product sources different materials from those countries and like I mentioned, there’s stuff happening and it’s harder for them to export what these companies need without risks hence why there’s such a big increase in price

Companies charge whatever they can get away with in order to maintain constant profit growth, relying on brand recognition and competitive pricing. The quality of the product has been going down in the last 10years for most drug store brands as well.
L'Oréal has been a special pet peeve of mine because they keep maintaining their prices as a more expensive drug store brand but their make up has been having a very noticeable nose dive in quality compared to others.
Literally I will restock on drugstore concealer, eyeliner, and maybe a lip gloss and my total will be near 100$ ☠️😭

Prices are higher because of greed they have been climbing for years and these wars have been going for longer than this past year or 2, they're just more sensationalized now and Israel is cranking their horrible ways up some notches. Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, Israel; they do not make up or ship your makeup products. I believe China is the main supplier for ingredients anyways.

My so bought a swimsuit for £45. I saw it was made in PRC and checked out AliExpress and Alibaba. Found the same one unbranded for £4.59 or £2.99 if you bought in batches of 1000. The margins on top of these are absolutely insane.

They really don't have that much of profit margin. Shipping charges + inventory + shop rent/employee salary all come from above those prizes. (Profit on top of that ofcourse)

that's assuming the aliexpress/alibaba listing(s) are actually selling what they say they are... pretty common to find online listings for items being sold way cheaper than what they're usually sold for and then if you buy it you get sent a shitty knock off, especially when it's that big of a price jump.

Triangle tops and tie bottoms are super accommodating/forgiving, but if you've got extra extra loving, then a one piece with that tie-over fabric (whatever it's called) and skirt bottom are super cute. If anyone's going to get offended past that (or whatever TF you decide to wear),they need to get over themselves, because you deserve to swim, too!!!

I feel this I got my moms maternity one so cute had a corset like siding so it kept form, plus it looked like tinkerbell (even used it for a cosplay 4 years ago) only had to let it out from the stitching while I was pregnant kid was huge and I just wanted to be in water

I do this and it drives my mom insane. I have a purse that I bought about 6-7 years ago. When I bought it I loved it so much I went and got a second one for when the first got worn out. Then I could have the same purse (because you can never find the same one later). The 1st one is cosmetically very rough but fine otherwise and I refuse to switch out because doing so means ruining the nice one I have on back up. My mom wants the used one when I finally switch just so she can burn it.
A friend of mine just posted something about this. Two shirts had the same print on them one was a full tee shirt the other one was cropped with less material... The crop top cost more than the full tee shirt

Literally! My husband just realized that the bottom and top part of women’s swimsuits are sold separately and he was just like WHYYY!?
The reason is because women are proportioned differently, especially boobs/butts. If the top and bottom had to go together in the same size, many women would be forced to buy 2 whole swimsuits to actually get one wearable top and bottom.

They told the dad that it was way cheaper to do it at home than to buy ripped jeans at a store 😂

There are countless videos online of the actual factories where they are produced and they literally just lay the jeans, which at this point is completely normal and unripped, ontop of something and get something that looks kinda like a cheese grater but for jeans and go across the entire thing and that's literally it.

this is how I feel when im trying to buy a matching set at victoria secret. if you want a lace matching set you have to buy it separately. the bra is like $65-$80 then the thongs are like $30-$40 depending on the style. then in total it’s like $160 + the tax.
another thing about vs is that for the prices they charge, the material doesn’t even last long. the material of the lace thong eventually starts ripping after a year. so it’s not worth it. i wish it was ONE price for a matching set.

I actually seriously am at the beach right now and I went to a local thrift store before I came and I bought three swimsuits there. One was actually vintage from the early 90s but the other two were new with tags. They were $15 to $40 dollars depending on brand or whatever. I was so glad that thrift store had them because otherwise I was swimming in a tank top and running shorts. Oh and the vintage one was only $4.99

Bikinis have the highest profit margin in clothing market. Production fees are in cents. Sale prices in hundreds. Shipping and storage fee almost free (almost 1,000 pairs come in only one box from the producer in China to America) and also if you sell online the distribution fee is also cheap in letter mail because of amall size.
