@Zandycan Ha! I know. We don't wear shoes in the house so I just filmed that quick then put on my boots to do the work in the shop. It's not on film but I almost smashed my toe lifting the headboard!
Not sure how to fix that without seeing it, but I'm fairly confident you'll need to replace the rail with a piece of solid wood, You can use the busted piece as a template to cut a new one.
Wouldn't this make that side 3/4" shorter than the other side? Or did you compensate for that somewhere?
