I would love a review of the Core! Its not amazing, but I feel like it isn't' as bad as you might think. I mean it's all obviously absurd, but they do explore real scientific concepts in some fun ways and the characters are pretty likable (for this type of film lol). Also, a lot of the characters are science professors so you would have plenty to say on that aspect I'm sure. If you need further convincing one of the opening scenes depicts a space shuttle landing in the LA river, so that's fun.
It's a crying shame that George Miller was ready to go, immediately after Fury Road, as were all the actors and he already had the next story written. After the HUGE success of Fury Road, and given Miller was obviously on fire, the fact that the industry turned their backs on him for so long due to bullshit and pettiness and politics is disgusting. Had to endure another 20,000 Marvel vs Hulk vs Guardians Of The Galaxy : The Return! stlye bullshit movies while Miller sat on the shelf....
The issue: People and companies have swapped out their competency for gatekeeper-ism. Expect little culture. Its ideology wars in the corporatocracy, and we are all losing out to it. Hegemonies suck. Because their ego comes before humanity.

Fury Road was certainly a huge success critically. But it cost between $154 million to over $180 million to make not including advertising. It grossed $380 million. It's said that a film has to make two and half times its production costs to break even. At it's lowest estimated production cost, Fury Road, at best, would have profited a few million dollars. At its highest estimated production cost, it would have lost over $50 million. So, it's understandable that a studio might be hesitant to invest in a sequel. Especially since Furiosa is said to have cost $230 million to make.
@@richardb6260 You can thank Star Wars for that! Without the merchandise tie ins and sponsership deals that George Lucas demanded he keep with his contract rights, that franchise would have ended up in the same basket as said movie. And is the similar reason that you would not see a proper contiuation of LOTR because it would be seen as marketable assest by executives without the weak minded race/gender woke politrics tainting every inch of the subject matter. I'm grateful people like George Miller and Ridley Scott stick to their guns and at least try to keep it real without being caught up with in the instant gratification of modern day Pedowood.
I've always loved learning about space and how the solar system works so I appreciate your insight. It does look like it will be an amazing movie. The visuals look really good. I hope it has the same pacing as fury road. Thank You
Came here for the trailer reaction; did not expect the discussion at the beginning (which leads to Starfield!). Anyway... Baaaaaaaa. Black Philip says hi

Maybe I’m a lone voice I hated Furry Road the premise was dumb no water no one would survive and where did they get the fuel for the motor bike for a start to travel 10 days or what ever it was. Lost in Space had better science than this dopey movie.
The premise is simple - not dumb - just like the other Mad Max movies. In Fury Road it is stated several times that they have enough fuel and supplies to ride for 160 days.
What part of : No-one is interested in gender swapped Girl boss’s… movies Does woke Hollywood not get!? Maybe the financial losses has not been great enough yet…🙄
Fury Road - a feminist movie - was a financial success, received almost universal critical acclaim and Charlize Theron’s Furiosa simply stole the show. "I've gone from being very male dominant to being surrounded by magnificent women. I can't help but be a feminist." George Miller
Its literally one of the main characters from a financially and critically successful movie being put in another movie. Go away with whatever culture war bullshit you're peddling.
What the hell do you mean 'gender-swapped'? Was she a guy in Fury Road or something? Are you an actual human being or just an incredibly unconvincing bot?
What part of "we don't care about the loser the opinions of incels who are sacred of girls" do you not get? Put away your box of tissues, clean up your room and go experience the real world and summon the courage to talk to actual women. .
Wow, wasn’t expecting to see you cover this. Awesome.

I never thought of the salt flats in Fury Road being the oceans but that's a cool idea. I had assumed that it was a dried up lake bed.
The game confirmed that

Off topic but I was curious; Have you seen the TV show For All Mankind? Apologies if you've mentioned it before but it seems right up your alley!
Please do 'The Core' 😉
"Everyone in the old world had a show.";)
No comment about running through a forest! That would be Eden in a desolate world? Cant wait.....
Please make a video of doctor who specials!
They need to work on their CGI . . . you can still see the sun in the sky. That's some pretty skimpy cloud cover.
You should put "scientist" in the video title.
In what spot in the title?
@@JudoGeoff I think he changed the title.
