WOW, absolutely fantastic pieces. Love the largest of the blue jugs, looks like the ocean at the bottom, stunning.

i am with those appreciating this form of pitcher, it works well and is graceful. my favorites are both the small ones the blue flowers are a perfect complement to the white one and the blue with decal is very charming, and drippy. thumbs up for the hedgehog cup at the end, the black and white carved one appeals to my inner hedgehog.
I love the little ones too, I also have those on my display shelves 😄 I like that you have an inner hedgehog laugh 😂

Wonderful to wake to a kiln opening Julia. What an exciting selection! I'm just LOVING the jugs! The style, the shape the detail. They are adorable! I actually think the cream 'patchy' finish suits and makes them look vintage. The flowers are so beautiful! Those handles are a perfect combination! The form I agree is lovely, no I don't agree...the form is exceptionally beautiful!
But OMG.....the blue jug!!!! Took my breath away!!!! WOW that combination of glazes at the bottom! The sweeping handle too is 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Oh I'm in love with the three blue mugs! Outstanding work Julia! No wonderful you were happy!

Thankyou so much for your kind comments Jeanette, I am so happy with the finished pieces, I was really worried they would not turn out well😅 I love experimenting with shapes, it is much easier for that with hand building.
I have a space allocated for pottery still at my new place, was going to use a bedroom but don't want to ruin the new carpet so for now the big bathroom will be a temporary pottery as I have a fold away table, and it has amazing light.

Julia so nice to see your work again. As always thanks! I love the shape of those mugs very unique. The pitchers are beautiful. I especially like the littlest one and the transfers . The colors are lovely. Maybe I am crazy but I think this pitcher shape would make a really cool wolf or fox pitcher.

How about a tutorial on where to find patterns, how to resize and print them?
Hi Tony, there aren't many patterns about that work, so far I found the pitcher, frustrum cup and a hexagonal bowl, I mostly mess around with pen and paper for resizing as my printer only goes to A4. It's just trial and error. Will have to make a list for tutorial requests😊 thankyou for watching.

Great Kiln ! Pity about the crawling with JPP's glaze......Also I have found with some of my underglazes, depending on the colour, that they too can bubble and pit....but only with a dipping clear and still not sure why only certain colours? Just adore the Pitchers' especially the blue ones. So look forward to seeing your beautiful art!

My friend is after the blue jugs I have told her they are completely out of bounds and she can make her own as she does pottery too 😅 thankyou for watching video 😊

Great kiln opening you have some beautiful pieces. I love the shape of your pitchers and it's so cool the different sizes. I really think the Spectrum pearl white would look pretty on your pitchers if you can get spectrum glazes. I'm in California so it may not be available in your area. Honey flux is also nice but will give yellow undertones. The Spectrum pearl white gives a pretty blue undertone. 7:00 it crawled I wonder if it's a glaze to clay fit. That glaze just doesn't work with your clay. But I'm not an expert. I'm still learning myself.

No problem Joan, 2 coats Amaco downpour, then all Amaco potters choice 1 coat seaweed, 1 coat blue lagoon, 1 textured turquoise then another 1 seaweed and top 1 coat of blue lagoon. X
some nice work, very impressive. As a local potter to you, drop me a line and you can come to the studio to talk pottery and you can have a go on a wheel. Trying to get some of use armatures together next year.

Julia did you add a clear glaze and refire the cool colored slip carved pot?
I did layers of black and white then carved, bisqued, clear glazed and glaze fired. I love that little pot, I have a bigger one in the community kiln at the Art centre I go to so I'm looking forward to seeing that next week hopefully🙏😊

Is your clear glaze zinc free?
Yes Mayco zinc free clear Nonya, it seems to happen intermittently with those wonder glazes. I think they don't like the bottom shelf 🤔
