  • This week on "The Traitors," the Faithfuls caught their first Traitor: "Big Brother" legend Dan Gheesling. Following his exit, Dan broke down his game to Access Hollywood, explaining why he took a shot at fellow Traitor Phaedra Parks, his strategy behind waiting to drop a name, and how he "completely" underestimated Peter. Plus, he revealed how his ideal endgame would've gone, including wanting to share a win with fellow Traitor and "Survivor" icon Parvati Shallow, whom he "didn’t really ever consider turning on." Dan also shared which "Big Brother" alums he'd dream-cast for Season 3 and revealed if he'll be back on another competition show or returning to reality TV retirement. New episodes of "The Traitors" stream Thursdays at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT on Peacock.
0:11 - How Dan felt being banished
1:42 - Why he targeted Phaedra

I really hope Dan uses this as an opportunity to reflect on potential unconscious biases he may have.
    1. He started the game as a Traitor with Phaedra but trusted Parvarti more, even knowing Parvarti's reputation.
    2. He said he is currently rooting for Parvarti, Peter, and Sandra. But doesn't mention Phaedra even though he says he values good game play and she took him out, debunked everything he used to say she was a traitor. She has made sure she isn't seen with them or at the scene of the "crime" with the poisoning.

Survival was key and going for broke against someone with no suspicion at all when you already had another one dangling in your face makes no sense. She did it to you and you doing it to her would’ve made for great tv. And would’ve probably gotten the faithful to trust you. Had you built this elaborate story about how shifty Parv is lol. You see him gushing about her in these interviews, you see him hanging around with her CONSTANTLY in the background on the show, heck you even see him dropping hints to her before she was recruited as a traitor... this guy genuinely deeply likes Parvati. He himself explained why on the show. He sees her as "female him from Survivor." She had the same story arc with her two success seasons as he did with his, and they attained similar legend status. How can you go all the way to the end with parv?? and she was being sussed out on day one. Make it make sense! Phaedra has good social game but not strategical long game. She needs Dan and parv to get her far in that aspect. If they all recognized that they would’ve gotten even more faithful out instead of turning on eachother

That was Dan being greedy too early.. he was already plotting on Phaedra as soon as Pravi was added. He teamed up with her so quick yet distancing himself from everyone else.. that’s why they both look Sus! The goal is to get the “Faithfuls” to trust them but he was only building alliance with in the Traitor group because the goal to him was “make sure we can get Phaedra out”… that’s why she checked the both of them the prior episode. Yet both of them still wanted to be sneaking. Phaedra NEVAAA dropped neither one of their names nor said anything to throw suspicion their way BUUUUT both Dan and Pravi did. And it’s crazy to already be so outnumbered trying to “dry snitch” on your fellow teammate! Those are the type you can’t trust in real life cuuuz whaaat? “Because your losing let me make the whole team lose?!” And then… on his waaay out he threw her name out their for nooo reason. He knew that NEVER was gonna help his case.. he just wanted to put her name in the atmosphere sooo the rest of the game isn’t gonna be so easy for her. That’s why he is voted off. He should of played as a team from the jump, not a one man show/mastermind!

@@HouseOfHockey14 it woudlve been possible if he went after Parv. That would’ve split the votes between them instead he threw out a name like last time and they found out he was wrong against Janelle. Now Phaedra… yeah Dan go ahead and pack up. Now everyone voted for him. If he truly wanted to stay he wouldn’t have betrayed the unsuspected one. Also are you dans back up account lol

@@cameronalexander1111 You clearly don’t understand what he was doing. He wanted to stay, and get someone out he thought he couldn’t beat at the same time. You’re right he probably stays one more week if he puts it on Parvati. The fact of the matter is, in his mind he can’t win with Phaedra there because of how well liked she was. In his mind it would make sense that Phaedra would be able to betray him at some point, even if she actually wasn’t planning on it. We’re just the viewers, we have no idea how difficult it is to go in there and know who you can actually trust.

It's called micro aggressions, look it up. You think it's normal to hear someone is a lawyer, completely disregard that fact, then think you're going to be able to take them out without a fight? Then even in this video, he knows that Phaedra outlasted both him and Parvati yet he's refusing to give her any credit. Instead he just keeps talking about being impressed with Pete. Why is it not impressive that Phaedra outlasted the others? It's not not about race just because you say so.
