Yes, that north wind was a little warm, but here in the Clare Valley, it wasn't too bad as we are still acclimatising from living in the top end of Australia. My tomatoes are doing just fine. Can't wait until we can pick the tomatoes, to enjoy the fruits of our labour. Maresi
Yep, we don't need too many days like that! Soil wetter can be your friend here - soil can really dry out and turn hydrophobic - eek! I've also been known to rig up shade on days like that. Good one Vasili 🎉
❤ loving this little piece of plastic ,that will be with us forever getting lost in the soil or the compost breaking down to smaller and smaller pieces of plastics that will find it s way in the food chain. Instead of using biodegradable garden twine so you can save a bit of time .Some time I wonder Vasili
We spent Monday morning up to our waits in the dam fixing the foot valve for the water pump that runs all the garden and toilet water. Managed to save the veggies and citrus orchard just in time, with only a few of the taller plants getting their tips burnt off in the high hot winds. The corn got a bit frizzled too, but it looks like it's bouncing back OK.
Crikey.! You guys are coping some terrible heat waves. Up here in Brisbane the humidity is through the roof, not sure what my garden would prefer. Thanks for all the content Vasili.
forget bamboo sticks....use the fibreglass ones, which come in different lengths and last much longer, and are cheaper in bulk than the flimsy and inconsistent small bamboo stakes.

My trowel is now bright pink 😂 trying to avoid the "trowel" moment.

It was 41 degrees in Western Sydney yesterday, the tops of my Viburnums got cooked even with shade cloth 🤯

Why do flowers fall of Eggplants.
