This makes it the second "down to the wire" moment in the history of this Pyramid version! The first one was with Bellamy Young! Remember "Things You Flip"?
Though I like this version of pyramid, the $20,000 Pyramid with Dick Clark will always be tops. It was taped out of NY. It was more exciting and I loved when the families would run up on stage when people won. Keep in mind $20,000 back then is equivalent to over $100,000 today. Also the Pyramid theme in the 70s was the best.
@@michaelhogg324 The $10K and $20K pyramids 1973-1981, (all Dick Clark), were taped in NYC at the old Elsie Theater in Manhattan. Well played - easy to get zapped on the sun category!! 0:37 - what is that sound supposed to be when the clock snaps into view? It sounds like water droplets and I don't understand it. It doesn't sound mechanical at all.
I’ve noticed the last few episodes I’ve seen (2021) on the Game Show channel that the contestants don’t hug or embrace at all if they win at the end. It takes all of the fun out of it 😒☹️
I thought ABC had cancelled season 5 of the $100K Pyramid in the 2019-20 TV Season due to the pandemic outbreak, but I guess they reconsidered it, and moved it to the 2020-21, Why is that?
The key word needs to be said, and it needs to be in the spirit of the Answer. "Sun" is the keyword, and protection of the sun is similar enough to blocking the sun that it was deemed acceptable.
She nailed it with that "Zinc Cream" clue.
Great job avoiding the traps on "Sun Protection Items"! It would've have been so easy to say "SPF Lotion" or "Sunscreen" and gotten buzzed.
Exactly: but I guess you could start using brand names like: Coppertone, Hawaiian Tropic.....
Ohh spf not allowed because the s stands for sun right? Just double checking
@@MuditVerma right!

Yikes, that sun category was hard. Good job on her for pushing through though.
Yeah! I initially thought: "Why didn't she just say sun block...oh right". I guess you could say "Cream with a high SPF rating"?
@@atomicagegamer3693 You can't even really say "SPF" since the S stands for Sun.
@@ThreeEyedPea I wondered if that would break the rule. UV cream might work. Her Zinc clue was clutch.
Lotion. Visor. Glasses. Dark Glasses. Car Visor.
@@atomicagegamer3693 In addition to the S being for sun, that's a prepositional phrase, which would be disallowed.

The categories were more challenging in the old version too. If you view a few old episodes on UA-cam the comparison is obvious.
DIck Clark's Pyramid was in California this one is in New York!

Good clues. Dark Glasses, coppertone lotion, a parasol. Umbrella is good, but a parasol is more associated with the sun.
parasol probably gets buzzed because it literally translates to "for the sun"

This was an exiting win.
Love the wordplay with the title.
Great clues and lovely winner's circle!
That was a close call
Don't forget a Narrow Escape and a Split Second Desition.
Wow, right on the very last split-in-a-half-second, to the nose ... 👍🙂👍
I'm sure both Dick Clark and Bill Cullen (R.I.P. to both) were watching that unfold.
A wide-brimmed hat; a beach umbrella; a shady tree
Well played - easy to get zapped on the sun category!!

The only thing I could come up with was “beachside umbrella”. That was a nasty trap of a category
Was this taped during the pandemic?
A Reflective Umbrella...these days,,geeze.
I see what you did with the title. 😁
"Sun protection items", but you can't say "sunscreen", "sunglasses", quite difficult!
That was as last second as you could get.
Can you post the Winner's Circle win with "Justin Timberlake's Private Parts" as a clue?
Congratulations
But them $ amounts for each subject tho... compared to the 1982 version or 73 it is INSANE on inflation.....
Question? Wth happened to the pyramid TV game?
She sounds like she’s on the game show Pyramid and giving clues to Trump
She should've said beach umbrella or parasol instead of umbrella.
The only “pyramid “ for me was with Dick Clark!

a sunglass, a hat, a parasol, tinted window, curtains, so many things blocks the sun, she was hung up on cream. lucky he caught it.

He said "things that block the sun" not "sun protection things"??? I thought answers had to be exact, so why did she win?? 🤔😳

Dick Clark still the best. Nothing against Michael.

I fear 1:18 was going to be a trap.
