WONDERFUL and TALENTED gymnast Paul/Paulina/Paulette…. Nowadays, would he be considered a DRAG performer? Nobody back in the day (or YOU, just now watching these old video clips!) got corrupted or confused from enjoying themselves at a gymnastics meet featuring Paul’s comedic talents. 😊

I often wondered why we no longer had men doing floor routines in gymnastics. Now I know. No one could beat 'Paulette'. Love it that I can watch him do these comedy routines, decades later.

The men do still do a floor routine

He's been unbeatable. Incredible flexibility even in his post-competing days. Some of these videos are from when he was older than 45 yo. That's a LOT!. His flexibility, balance and strength are amazing.
Watch some of his competing days videos. He was a real champion.

I wish they would just shut up during the scenes instead they just babble on and on about zip! They just like to hear themselves chatter on and on!

Maravillosamente flexible, gracioso, y algo o bastante peligroso en algunos ejercicios. Todo un CAMPEÓN 👏👏👏

Love Paul Hunt! A talented genius who was a coach who could do the things he required of his students. (How many coaches are able to do likewise?) We used to be able to laugh at life and have fun. Not anymore. People today look for reasons to be offended with all and everything.

Anyone that can do the things he can do has super strength and very stretchy ligaments. He's so much gun to watch.

In the first clip they didn't use floor mats back then like they do today.

I disagree -- his talent was raised to a higher level by his being free to inject comedy into his routines. Many of his clownish-seeming moves required greater skill, strength, and flexibility than 'standard' gymnastics moves. He pushed the envelope; would you really have stuffed him back down into it, squashing his creativity? I hope not...
