In place of EDTA we can use other reagent or not. And also why we add the pH buffer what is it's range. After completion of titration what is the range of pH in a conical flask.
The buffer solution used in complexometric titration has pH 10. This is necessary to carryout reaction between metal ion and EDTA which is possible in basic solution. One more thing, To get the desired colour change
Why are there two steps, Part 1 and Part 2? Also, is the ZnSO4 solution a standard for ward water? PROCEDURE:- Part 1 :- Determination of Molarity of EDTA (Standardization of EDTA solution). 1. Pipette out 25ml of standard ZnSO4 solution in a conical flask 2. ½ test tube buffer solution (NH4Cl + NH4OH, pH= 10) 3. add 1-2 drops of EBT indicator. Wine red colour will appear. 4. Then titrate with EDTA solution. At the end point colour changes to clear blue. End point = (Xml) PART-II:- Determination of Total Hardness 1. Pipette out 25ml of hard water sample in a conical flask 2. 1/2 test tube buffer solution 3. 1-2 drops EBT indicator, wine red colour appears. 4. Then titrate with EDTA solution. At the end point, colour changes from wine red to clear blue. End point = (Y ml)
As per your procedure: Part I : calculate the exact normality of EDTA by titrating it with stadard ZnSO4 solution. Part II : Determination of hardness of water.

Hello,
Where are the references to this test? Are they from AWWA, APHA and WEF?

No.

@@dr.monikasujitchavan8039 hmm ok mam
30 gram weight 50 ml water 50ml ethanol or eske baad water bath rakh de melt ke baad pH buffer solution 25 ml copper sulphate se titration kre
thanks a lot mam for providing us the best we can understand
Why multiple by 1000? I calculated my readings-> 15.5ml × 0.01M × 1000/ 10ml = 15.5 (whats the unit?)
because calculated per liter. Therefore Unit is mg/lit
Super explaination medam👍😍
Can you tell me mam which chemical or metal repulse needle ?
Very well explained..
Which solution You fill up in Burette
EDTA, Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid.
Dear Mam, 50 ml water sample mai Buffer Solution agar 3 to 4 drop dalenge to same result ajata hai to why should we waste Chemical ?
Please reply mam
Amma please reply if I use 10 ml water then how much buffer will i use?
You can use half test tube.
Mam toh badi sndar hai🥰
How did you made the buffer..
Using weak acid and its conjugated base.
Using ammonium chloride and ammonia.
Respected mam .pls may I know is distilled water is temporary or permanent water ??also tap water is temporary or permanent water??
Water is not temparory or permanent.
Pure/distilled water does not show any type of hardness.
Which college experiment?
These experiments are from FYBTech syllabus.
Sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur.
Thank you madam
Thank a lot mam 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks 🙏❤️♥️

Mam is cute 🥰
Mam how much we have to take EDTA
Are you asking the normality?
The titration of water sample with EDTA inpesence of EBT indicator, we have to add EDTA till we get the colour change i.e. wine red to sky blue?
Very nice mam
Thank you

Mam can you explain principle too
The Ca++/Mg++ ions cause hardness to water is combine with EDTA solution. The ml of EDTA used, determine the hardness of water.
