Dr. J's game had a lot of the same creativity (and he was definitely an inspiration), but MJ was just on another level. Kobe came close, but even he wasn't quite MJ because he didn't have MJ's enormous hands that allowed him to control the ball in an otherwordly fashion. MJ was an artist out there on the court, truly "one of a kind". When another MJ finally shows up, there will be no need for media shills to try to convince us. We'll know when we're seeing a player that special. Neither AntMan nor LeBron are anywhere close to being "That Guy".

I've been watching basketball for 51 years, and I respectfully disagree. After I saw Dr. J for the first time, everything after that was just a pale imitation. George Gervin was similar. That's not a knock on Jordan, it's just that my generation couldn't see what the big deal was. What we admired was how his midrange jumper was money, that he played perimeter defense like a beast, and that his game was constantly improving and evolving, especially the mental game. I enjoyed him the second time around because he was starting to slip a bit, and still found a way to win. I even liked his time with Washington.

I watched the Bull since one year before MJ got drafted. I don't remember him ever being as disrespectful as Ant. Maybe it was his upbringing or him playing for Dean Smith and Bob Knight, but MJ was always classy to the opposing stadium's fans and if he trash-talked, it was to an individual player and you barely caught wind of it. People need to stop this comparison, man.

It's not fair to Edwards or Jordan. Ant has that killer instinct MJ, Kobe and DWade had. Instead of just appreciating what the young man is doing, the media has to do the Jordan thing. It's tired, it's annoying. Let's rate these guys at the end. It's a total resume thing and you can't just say a guy is Jordan or Magic or any all time great. Jordan's numbers were also improving as the season went on, as in his last 20 games up to the injury he averaged per game 27.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks on 44% shooting, and in his last 10 games up to the injury he averaged per game 29.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.3 blocks on 47% shooting.[54] Before the injury, Jordan was considered an MVP contender at the age of 38 for what could have been a record-tying 6th MVP award! People just don't understand no one is ever coming close to MJ! Also Jordan had 8 40 points games on the wizards twice after the age of 40 and 1 50 point game with the wizards!
