You could tell the first lorry driver was skeptical it was going to do it but in reality you made it look like a piece of cake.

They’re actually incredible in the snow. Lots of fun going out in snow storms with a tow rope. They can pull cars out of ditches with ease
Won't lie owning a 3L V6 Navara it sometimes crosses my mind... then I remember it is on summer touring tyres...

My dad wrote off my v10 treg last year and I was gutted! One of the best vehicles I have ever owned, had its fair share of issues but when it worked, my God it was a thing of beauty and power!
For an old bus it does a lot well, hard to drive past a petrol station like, lol

remember its vw audi quattro groupe. if you know the r&d and races the quattro used to win its one of the most advanced 4wd system and vw had a direct injector diesel engine in the mk1 golf releaded in audi in 1989. tdi
1st direct injection was Audi 80 2.5.
@@DarksideDevelopments There was one for sale in new zealand not long ago. if i did not own alteadya mk1 golf diesel i would have had to get it. Forgot to mention the golf was a tdi prototype my mk1 is idi production japan vw had a 3 liter polo prototype also i did see not long ago the golf prototype is in my diesel book.

Back when mk1 Touareg was new, he pulled 747, so i guess towing a lorry is a piece of cake.
Thats true.^^ But they put more weight in the car for traction.
But in the snow? Thats impressive
@@kaicooper5917 Snow is with right tires and a flat street not a "big" problem. The Touareg has diff locks as well. In the "mountains" where I life (About 600-800 Meters) some firms have 8x8 trucks. Put some heavy weight on the back and then go pulling trucks up the hill.

last snow in our town last year I helped 25 ish cars, two ambulances and a chimney sweeps van lol.....love my Touareg....

Beast! So not only do Downton pay their drivers fuck all, not much more than minimum wage, to drive a truck that costs £3k to get your licence for, but they also leave their drivers stranded for 7 hours in the snow? Terrible scumpany!
Even worse, they give them dafs to drive.
In general truck drivers are treated appallingly.
It was suggested many years ago. If all the delivery trucks in the UK stopped delivering.
The whole country would grind to a halt in 3days...

The Q7 doesn't have low range nor diff lockers. So I'd say that the Touareg wins.

The size comparison to what it's pulling is mental
Eh, not soo much. His second axle is up and judging by the courtain he has absolutely no pallets on. That thing weights probably 18-19 tons. I got stuck on the loading bay like that once.
That one was empty but the 1st 44t. you would lift your 2nd axle in the snow anyway loaded or not.
@@DarksideDevelopments mate, depends on the weight over those axles. About 5 pallets are enough to make it drop and you ca. Have 26 in a regular trailer. Source, a trucker.
Axle won't lift if it will overload it, scania have load transfer for the axle but only under 20mph.
@@SoulTouchMusic93 100% you can override it but lets ignore that the driver said it was 44t and take your word for it!

I was doing the exact same in a 2.5 Isuzu dmax with 163bhp, In Doncaster and Upton. The trucks were fully loaded though.
The first one was fully loaded. Glad to hear the Dmax did it too.

No problem, do this all the time over here in Norway with Q7’s and Regs with V8 V10 and V12 nice work Ryan!! Just don’t try this with X5/X6 the can’t even pull them selfs up a steep grass hill in summer time. Keep up the nice videos 💪🏻💪🏻

I have to give it to the Touareg, it did very well there! it’s just a shame they look so old now , must be one of the few cars that quickly become old fashioned looking before there time .

I made a fortune in 2010 changing clutches in Land Rovers playing superman and pulling HGVs up hills. At least the VW makes it look easy.
If it had a clutch it might be dead, lol
Use our q7’s and Touareg’s to tow and move heavy equipment...never had an issue with the them ( the driveline fluids get replacement every 30k miles )

Yeah but you are not relying on those while the torque converter is slipping and they are bathed in oil so are cooled anyway.
It's good to know, a lot of people don't maintain anything but cry when they fail. Towed a 3.5t trailer the other day and it was effortless!
