Somehow this channel is able to consistently find bits and pieces of Terence’s talks that I somehow haven’t heard before after years of listening to him. Well done.

Maybe they are having AI generate them. Terence would probably have approved.

.. yes, the plants take people, as much as the people take plants. This is the American Indian idea of all the relatives.

Yeah, this one time on cannabis, while I was walking home. I got the overwhelming feeling that no matter how much I walked I would never get home. I was probably 30 mins away from home but in my head I felt that I had been walking for hours and hours and each block felt endless. All I could do was to just keep walking because that was the only thing I could do. After a while I remembered some of Terence's advice and started singing "row-row your boat", at least there was no one around. That was rough but 10/10 would do again.

This sounds like some of the experiences I've had on cannabis. I think my mental health being rough at the time was certainly a mitigating factors but still I find it incredible how powerful the effects can be of what is often seen as a 'light psychedelic. At one time on it I had entered what I can only describe as a personal version of Hell. Terence has helped me through some tough times too

@Mariana Hernandez thanks ! I did a big dose of shrooms earlier this year and it was hugely impactful. Definitely want to explore microdosing

"Psilocybe chuxiongensis is a species of psilocybin mushroom in the family Hymenogastraceae. Described as new to science in 2014, it is found in subtropical China. The type specimens, collected in August 2009, were found growing singly to scattered on cow dung."

One thing Terence never says about mushrooms is how they mess you up cognitively compared to acid or mescaline although I only tried mesc once. Most people I’ve tripped with would agree that mushrooms often make you feel drunk as well as tripping, and they are much less predictable than LSD which gives fairly reliable experiences at the same doses, not in terms of feelings and mood, but strength of visuals, ability to make judgment calls and do math, form sentences, etc. There’s been plenty of acid trips where I was really having strong visuals but could carry on in society as if nothing was happening. Never on mushroom lol, had some close calls.

Yes I tried my first trip today on mushrooms and it was one of the most bizarre, strange but also clarifying experiences I’ve ever had in my life, I came out of it not really knowing what happened but as the hours go on I feel more clarity … I felt many strange & complex emotions during the trip. I wouldn’t say it was pleasureful at all at times, it felt turbulent to say the least… I had a mixture of emotions but I think I have got the message from the trip that I needed. But shrooms do take you to a very strange place I must admit.

I remember how the day after my first mushroom experience left me feeling refreshed and recalibrated. That was back in 95’ when I had no clue of the psychological benefits. 27 years later I can say I’ve never had a “bad” or “extremely challenging” mushroom experience…with the exception of one trip that I mixed with a natural harmine/harmala /tetramhydroharmine MAOI. The trip was interesting but very dark. I would not recommend anyone use psilocybin with an MAOI.

10:00 I was tripping on acid with a few of my friends and one of them decided to put on "WWII in Color"
well, surprise surprise another one of my friends started freaking out and had to leave the room to chill out for a little bit. My main question has always been this: "what. the. fuck.?"
why would you want to learn about the horrific mass destruction of war while in such an impressionable state? dick move.

I had a psychosis break.. before any psycodellic experience.. but a Jungian type self analytical self analysis always ticked in my head, well from one point it started and at the a time it always WAS.. so 🤷🏼‍♂️

.. LOL should lawmakers who want to jail cannabis users be chained to a tree?

  • @travisfitzwater8093

  • @joedavis4150

.. but every straight and narrow person who thinks psychedelic and cannabis users should be jailed is having a cognitive hallucination, and a very harmful one at that.

In terms of why black people show up with ayahuasca, how about pangaea? I've traced my ancestry back to Africa through mushrooms. There's some kind of compendium in these things, as he notes.
