Sin brings a separation between man and God.
Without God, what we have done is meaningless to God. The grace of God covers us and changes us to be Holy. But there is one thing needed to remember. When we want to do something to pleasure God, we got to realize what the real pleasure of God is.
Just believing in God and thinking you can go to the heaven means nothing. Yes, you may get the insurance that avoid the hell fire. But inside your heart, you don't have any transformation.
Thinking without roots will result in flower but no fruit. A superficial faith without a deep theological foundation means nothing. The foundation is crucial to discipleship. Base on the scripture, you do what God likes you to do and follow Jesus as a faith disciple.
Faith does not mean to jump into the dark but to walk in the light. Many people believe that they can jump into the dark by using their faith to make things bright. But think more wisely, how can you be a sparkling star when you are in the darkness? We can't have any light if we walk alone and without God.
