for anyone interested, the mad scientist's idea about the thread repair worked. my buddy Joi dropped by the pad a week later and drilled out the stuck bolt for me. we used that thread repair kit and my drag pipes are now secure and holding up just fine. once again, i would not be anywhere with my bike without the help of some good ppl. i am definitely blessed to have these real ones in my life.
Helmet laws in Canada, technically you’re not allowed half shells well DOT approved but they look goofy. maybe it varies in other provinces but I think it’s pretty much the same everywhere, people still get away with novelty ones but once I switched to full face, I’ll never go back. Bluetooth with tunes, better for distance rides, I’ve gotten used to it so the style has grown on me. Almost wrecked bad back when I had a half shell, dead for sure….No guarantee with any helmet but I enjoy the full face, also ear plugs for long rides or loud pipes saves my ears and I can still hear my music through em at full volume.
Heck I rode better than 25 years wearing a surplus Nazi helmet, screw the law. Lol Finally got old and had to switch to full face because my eyes are more sensitive and need better protection from the wind/rain.
@@jameshill8498 I play guitar, saving my ears is important to me, wind noise+loud pipes=no bueno, you can still hear everything fine, it just brings it to a normal level for you and everyone else hears you coming
Yo Unaffiliated, Just bought a Daytona 3/4 flat black. So comfortable. No helmet law in Michigan but my babies are getting old enough to pay attention. I have to set an example 4 n 2 years old riding their own 50cc Honda. You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda Valkyrie. Keep the Shiny Side Up
Come to Shadetree's Weirdo Campout for the Forgotten Angel's in Tampa in October and hang with the Eastern bros. Time to put those bikes to a real test. I'm planning to be there, it's pretty awsome and totally free. First I'm planning to hit The Rocky Mountain Roll in Western Montana so I'm planning a long trip. None of that "do as I say not as I do" shit. Lol I sympathize on the broken exhaust stud, I've broken 2 Sportster exhaust studs so far. The last time required pulling the head so it turned into a 1250 conversion with some serious headwork. As long as I'm spending money it was time to cut the frame for a hardtail and add a springer. Some day I might get her back on the road. Lol
@@R0shi187 I don't know where you're at but seriously you just show up and find a spot to set up camp, no charge. There's free food, beer and various entertainment. Great time and great people. It happens in March and October. Just look up Shadetree Surgeon's UA-cam channel and you can find the details. Plenty of Forgotten Angel's campout videos on UA-cam too, so you can see what you are missing.
I’ve only worn those types of helmets…had a genuine world war 1 kraut helmet then a WW2 one both steel…couldn’t fit normal ones my dreads were too big LOL…Cut mt dreads a few years ago now and growing new ones only in the back but still wear the German helmets…fibreglass ones coz they are so light…there’s a few versions out there but the main thing to remember or check is to make sure they have two straps at the top connected to the helmet, more spread the better as I find it stops them from lifting in the front..the bro on the Honda chop has the mean one…look at the spread of his two straps connected to the helmet…good when your banging it down the hiway, they fit tight…I’ve been riding for over 30yrs with those helmets and I like the fact that you can hear everything going on with the motor!…yes hell-coils are the go for those,no muck in around, drill the barstad out and drop a heli-coil in there, like brand new with a bigger bolt!..another awesome vlog Brother!..nice job!

Think it's about time you made a shed for working on the bikes 👍🤗😉
That helmet is so dope
The correct way would be a timesert due to the heat temps, helicoil works well on intake studs or cooler aluminum temp surfaces.
Ah, damn well when this one goes out we’ll make sure to do that instead haha, thanks for the advice!
