Maria is very well spoken. I appreciate how she is unapologetic for treating the WTA tour as a workplace and not a social-club.
Such a beautiful intelligent and humble woman, she is very fascinating in every way
She’s so well spoken and beautiful.
Indeed she is! Very articulate, excellent choice of words to describe what she thinks & feels. Am guessing her mother honed her into this venture.
It is a crying shame that we are losing such a great player, a genuine tennis superstar. It takes a long time to produce one, and in each generation we are lucky if we get one or two. Losing one is always a little tragedy in the tennis world, however we like to rationalize the loss with the hope that new ones are bound to appear sooner or later. Especially, I regret we''l never witness a match between the retiring star, Sharapova, and the new coming one, Andreescu.
agreed maria is legendary and naomi osaka is the new star now
you mean we are loosing a DOPER?????? when she came back after suspension, without a dope she was very avarage player , a bad player
@@jaspis16 she won a title and beaten inform Players, stfu.
She is a so smart and beautiful athlete.
Love her some much ❤️Прекрасная и сильная Мария 👍
Such an amazing woman, I feel sorry for the haters.
Love Maria ❤️
Maria is beautiful intellegent tennis player it js an insightful conversation about begining of life to play and defining her career of game at arrival in the US
Jimmy Connors is one of my all time favourite players I never said that before ❤
Love you maria
Maria, a name that crosses the boundaries of nations, you are the 'it' girl of my heart. You are transcendent yet humble. You offer hope where there is a great need for that. You are excitement that replaces the doldrums. You have been a reason for many to buy 4K televisions to see you and the match better. (A little levity, but I suppose it could be somewhat true.) You fill my heart with hope that time can be reversed so that both of us could simultaneously share your best moments, both on and off the court. (With God anything is possible.) And you are a huge, twinkling star that causes sensation in the cosmos. You are.
Stunning woman
My role model since decades. Maria. S
Maria became softer after her suspension, probably she had some self realization during that period. I miss the old tenacious Maria but I must admit, she became more open to people now. Although her fans, including me, would like her to keep on pushing to atleast redeem herself, we understand that can never beat fathertime. I wish her all the best in her next "mountain".
@Timothy Kai get lost, you piece of shit.
*at least *Father Time*... wish her the best with her new...
I hope ur words are false
Maria I wish you the very best in all endeavours you embark upon now that you have quite tennis. In fact, of all the female players after Martinez you are my favourite, your style of playing, grouting, and composure make me to be one of your fan. I'm a proud black African man living in England, I must say your parents gives you a quality moral training. Though, raise in US yet, you are a proud Russian, this make me like you also. You know whom you are, unlike some athletes who have falling for the trappings of America and thus lost their identities. So my prayers for you is that God will sustain you for your parents and love ones, and when the time to settle down as woman God will chose a reasonable man of your choice for you. God bless .
Michael Raheem My all-time favorite player is Justine Henin but I started to like Maria watching some of her interviews. She seems to be a very bright woman and I have to admit that I always admired her focus on the court and never giving up.

Very true she was trapped.
Super
Very Nice
I have read her memoir. The more I learn about Maria, the more impressive she becomes. Love how she seems to always celebrate her height. The ITF's handling of the "doping" issue was and is inexcusable. They still owe Maria a sincere, very public apology.
She was very beautiful ,my God how i gets shein my life..💗💗💞
You might not be able to bring the very Maria in your life, but if your love is true you gonna find someone who is as beautiful as she is :)

Her suspension was reduced to 15 months as the Court of Arbitration for Sports found that she had committed "no significant fault" and that she had taken the substance based on a doctor's recommendation with good faith belief that it was appropriate and compliant with relevant rules.
“100. The Panel wishes to emphasize that based on the evidence, the Player did not endeavour to mask or hide her use of Mildronate and was in fact open about it to many in her entourage and based on a doctor's recommendation, that she took the substance with the good faith belief that it was appropriate and compliant with the relevant rules and her anti-doping obligations, as it was over a long period of her career, and that she was not clearly informed by the relevant anti-doping authorities of the change in the rules. After its de novo review here, the Panel has determined it does not agree with many of the conclusions of the Tribunal, except as otherwise specifically indicated herein.
101. Finally, the Panel wishes to point out that the case it heard, and the award it renders, was not about an athlete who cheated. It was only about the degree of fault that can be imputed to a player for her failure to make sure that the substance contained in a product she had been legally taking over a long period, and for most of the time on the basis of a doctor's prescription, remained in compliance with the TADP and WADC. No question of intent to violate the TADP or WADC was before this Panel: under no circumstances, therefore, can the Player be considered to be an "intentional doper".“

Awesome.highly gorgeous

Happiness family too mamji
Maria is very honest in her relationship with Serena although it seems not a nice thing to say
Let's talk about her "grunting" thing:
It comes from her true "fighter" spirit but since she is a girl she can't put it into words. Actually it is very simple. Image an warrior (a real one like a Spartan or a samurai) going into a battle. What does this warrior typically do in that moment? He shouts his war cries. Why does he do that? Shouting improves your concentration and chases your fear away. Also it might scare the opponents and at least reduce their concentration. Basically shouting ("grunting" in Maria's case) improves your edge over your opponent.
Totally agree with her on how she feels about the word "brand". I loathe the corporate insertion of "branding" into human identity.
The Volume is very low... Please upload new one.

Yes, exactly.

Guess what…Simona Haley was recently accused of doping herself which she vehemently denied that it was done intentionally, of course only Maria got the big headlines. BTW, wow, Maria is a giant at 6 ft. 2 inches & wearing 5 inch heels, she stood at 6 ft. 7 inches in this interview with Kathy Couric. For sure the incident in Chenoble, Russia caused her unusual height.

She is best but yeah after Serena ..
I like the fact that she was a gracious looser in her career 😊
Taste and attractiveness are personal, but most people will agree Maria wins the beauty contest compared to Serena. Sure some will say Serena is beautiful, but more will prefer Maria. Maria is beautiful inside and outside. She never threatened a lineswoman with "shoving a f'ing ball down" her throat. She never pointed her finger threateningly at the chairperson and called them a liar, thief and demanded they apologize. She never accused the tournament president that he colluded to make her lose the match because he was a misogynist. Tennis witnessed the worst behavior under Serena's reign and it wasn't just USOpen. Serena had outbursts all over the world, Singapore, Japan, Dubai, Malaysia, you name it. She crapped everywhere. So Ya. 2004 Wimbledon straight sets over Serena. That was the Open that people in the locker room quote Serena saying " I will never lose again to that B*tch. Nice sportsmanship loser. And the 2018 Roland Garros where Serena lost it knowing that she would lose to Maria if she played. So instead of being a gracious loser, she became a quitter. Walkover. I count that the same as Serena lost to Maria. Serena has an ugly inside.

Why did she keep avoiding the question of “what are you using to replace the meldonium?” It made her seem sooooo guilty.
@krigi Let me ask you a simple question: Are are a professional athlete? Do you know how much your body hurts after an event especially when you are not teenager any more? If you don't know that kind of pain (I assure you it is a REAL pain) you'd better do if you don't comment on things that you have no idea about...

Very smart of her to not answer that question. The legal crup that she would face potentially would be off the charts. Like she is endorsing medicine. That would not have been good to do and she is way to smart to make that mistake. As to Katie asking it, was not good.
Why should she disclose? Then the wada ban that one also for no reason!

Great competitor truly. Have to "respect" that. But no grace. At all.
She is a war machine. And yes, there is no grace in any war machine. You have to accept that.
Also she was born in Russia. Russians have many good qualities but grace is not one of them {try to image a "graceful" bear and you will get my point}.
I'm sure you are friends with everybody in your office and every person you compete with.
Serena Williams has friends on the tour. Better player. Better champion. Better person. Better inspiration.

Nice try, loser.
Katie Couric will never be mentioned as a great interviewer or among the greats.
She’s very annoying
A cheat
Beautiful, rich and maybe a good person, but she still got caught cheating. So,.....unstoppable? I guess so.
She should’ve been like Serena and rely heavily on TUE. Maria failed the paperwork aspect. If people are so upset at the act of ingesting these substances then people would be upset with many wta tour players who rely extensively on the TUE.
Oopstoobad6275 on no not a TUE, a therapeutic use exemption... if your sport requires you to get a TUE to get a particular medication to treat a condition then you get a fucking TUE you don’t cheat.
