Maybe the old clothes graveyard? I doubt it, just folks working the fields.
I baled hay a few summers when I was young... quickly learned to not wear a buttoned jacket when pick up bales!
And the fancy buttons in the field doesn't mean they had on fancy clothes. You just sewed on whatever button was available. I loved looking through my great grandmother's button jar from the 1900's, must have been hundreds of different styles.
