This is by far the best song not only on Hardwired To Self Destruct but of the last 28 years, this is to remind everyone that they can still play fast as fuck! \m/ Thank you Metallica!!
Fuck yeah! I've seen all of the old Metallica stuff and it is amazing, specially some versions of Fight Fire With Fire, Battery, Damage Inc. or Whiplash, Metallica 80's era is why they are and always be Legends ! \m/ \m/
folly my friend, this song is telling you what the plan is. Its ridiculous, i am not lying. You are brainwashed and im sure you are brilliant its ridiculous. It took me a ton of long nights and deep deep web research to come up my awakening.

Try rime of the ancient mariner its like spit out the bone but without the machines and small scale and a mariner killing a bird and attracting death’s ship
Disappear like Mustaine was never here! Long live Hammett! The future's Wahmet Mustaine overthrown Spit out the bone! xd No offense, I like Muscatine and Hammett too!
James' voice sounds so awesome in this song. So happy to see them going back to their thrash roots! If you took out the bass, it could pass for something on AJFA imo 😂
Smith Stan No kidding. This song sounds like And Justice for All and Death Magnetic had a child and then the two albums got divorced, then the two albums fought for custody and then Kill Em All became the legal guardian and step dad next to Death Magnetic.
Have you forgot about the album Death Magnetic, that had songs better than this like All Nightmare Long and THat was just your life and don't forget the day that never comes
Not sure how much I agree with that. One, Dyers Eve, The Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, Of Wolf and Man, The God That Failed, My Friend of Misery, The Day That Never Comes, All Nightmare Long, Cyanide, The Unforgiven III, The Judas Kiss, My Apocalypse, and Now That We're Dead are all great songs as well, and a lot of them are better than both this song and Blackened.
and noone is going to mention this song is about the machines taking over humanity. I know exactly why this is the only thrash song on this album. because of its lyrical theme. the Song title itself literally means to spit out the human flesh from this World

This song seems underrated, easily one of my favorite Metallica tunes period. Bad ass lyric theme, killer riffs, blazing solos all mixed with good melody \m/
This whole album is just gold. Reminds of the early years of Metallica, were every song on their albums was excellent. I don't think there was a bad tune on the first 3 albums. This is back to that Metallica Gold standard or excellence in my opinion.
@@cdt9055 New Metal doesn’t take the time to create symphonies like this song. Trust me, I would have heard it by now. New Metal is very much into expressing feelings lyrically, but the music lacks that I think. There just isn’t the same cohesion. And I didn’t mean that original comment as a bash against New Metal, there just hasn’t been anything in the past twenty years new band wise that touches this type of writing. They either under or over play. Probably not giving the best answer right now, but there is definitely something lacking.
Why was Atlas Rise the only newer Metallica song on my radio station when this song exists on the same album? And, what right does Metallica have to shred again? Man I should listen to the rest of the album now....
Definitely the greatest song on the record. Not just because it's one of the only 2 thrashers (Moth cutting it close, but no cigar), but many reasons. The drumming is some of Lars' best in years probably (he's not a bad drummer, but every once in a while, certain drumming bits in songs absolutely blow my mind, such as the intro to Rust in Peace. Lars hasn't really done that since Justice, until this masterpiece). The lyrics are, unavoidably, Black-ish. It's unavoidable because James has been writing lyrics like the Black Album for so long that there's nothing we can do. But you can tell that they tried to relive Master of Puppets through this piece. The lyrics feel thematic, reminiscent of Puppets in terms of certain random flairs. The riff is also clearly dug up from James' youthful arms of 1986. Puppets being my favorite album, of course this is my favorite new song
If somebody ask you, what is thrash metal? just play this song. Master piece of metallica. Great James, Lars, Kirk and Robert, all of them perform amazing.
So now thousands of people are humming under their noses about the rejection of humanity, killing people, getting rid of emotions, heart, empathy, connecting to the machine not to feel rejection but to feel power and power ...? :O :O :O Great song ... no thanks.
Thank you for the lyrics which, for an Italian mothertongue are not so easy to understand just listening to the song. Now I can appreciate more this masterpiece of trash metal
This is by far the best song not only on Hardwired To Self Destruct but of the last 28 years, this is to remind everyone that they can still play fast as fuck! \m/ Thank you Metallica!!
watch their live performances, they play old stuff faster than the studio version.

perfect for headbanging........
Perfect for thrashing , can t wait to see them live
I love how James had to add a "YEAH!" at the end.
Best song on the album.
Rust In Puppets It's not a metallica album unless theres a "Yeah" added into the mix. or an "Ooo"
True, lol.
I can't wait to see them in Orlando . . July 5th
James ALWAYS finds space for a ''Yeah.''
He's also done "ooooooOOOOOWAH!!!"
Perfect for The Terminator
Keith Petitdemange agreed
or the Borg
More like Elon Musk's Neuralink lul

Darren Pinson you have creativity. LONG LIVE METALLICA AND FUCK ALL THE HATERS
Quite not my tempo. That's little too fast, but around 1.15 would probably be perfect for me.
thrash hurts my head. i like slower, heavier metal.
Darren Pinson you couldn't have said it better
I don't give a shit what anybody says...this is THE BEST song since Blackened, hands down!

To all those who think Metallica died after THE BLACK ALBUM...
It did. But resurrected at Hardwired.
Kind of reminds me of Fight Fire With Fire
