I've always been a Yamaha boy and the YZ250 has always been my favorite motocross bike even during those years in the 80's when it was considered worst in class. This 2024 is really a looker and watching the end of this video, I still really love the two-stroke sound. That's the proper sound of a motocross bike.
Love the fame yz250 so many aftermarket companies and lots of these around. A beloved bike by the motor community. You can't go wrong with this great beginner platform first starting out to full on pro racers love this. My all time favorite bike besides the 125 model also.
2t for life, maybe the GOAT of all bikes, the 125 and the 250! Might not be the best overall but its longevity, its fan base I have 2, and have had a few since 2006, I ;oved it then and its even better now! I'll never go 4t and def never go E-Bike, I hated the look in the early 90s but then I was racing CR250s, so maybe its that, I did love the Zebra RMs look, but this retro look I love it, YZ and 2t or die! 🤘
Want a yz250 but I’m scared the transmission will fail due to how the shift forks have the rails incorporated into them (rather than the forks sliding along separate rails, like on most every other MX bike). Also, only having 3 engagement dogs per gear rather than 4.
I hoped we would learn more about the bike and less about how cool they thought it was. No discussion or comparison to the the YZF250 four stroke. Not a helpful video unfortunately. Do these guys have any journalistic creds, education or special skills to do an informative presentation? I didn’t see or hear anything other than they think it looks cool . WTH? Also, the experienced two stroke guy didn’t provide any special two stroke knowledge.so that was a dead end. Pretty dismal reporting.
I just bought a YZ250 & 125. Just GREAT bikes. So happy Yamaha continues to produce these, and throw updates at them!!!
I have the 2023 blue version but, man, this anniversary edition is by far the most beautiful stock yz250

Bought a 2024 yz250 so thanks for the video and look forward to any other technical videos you have on this bike
Forget 4 strokes like it never happened! ✊💨

I agree. We would all be fucked. If it wasn’t for Yamaha 🎁💖💕💕💕
love the retro colors, wish they would do one based off the 1985 Yz line as imo it was the best looking Yamahas of all time
White w/ red accent and gold rims?
@@cbh148 yup, i live in the US so we didn't get that color in 84 like the rest of the world did
Hard to get any better two stroke then the iconic YZs,
Still like my YZ 03 250 with the 465cc IT motor better.I smile just walking by it in the shop.
Where is this track?
General location is it is private. Just want to know what part of SOCAL
Thanks!
Great Bike..
Nice! Do they still sell 125s?
Yes!
PING!!!!!!!!!!!
Needs EFI like all other current 2-strokes. I have no idea why Yamaha refuses to do it (especially for the price.) 🤷
They donot
@@MrJtin69 I guess all cars and motorcycles should only have carburetors too. Nope.

No electric start is wild lol if they made one with that I’d buy it in a second
