Hi! In my country, there is only one place where I can find machine yarn. As long as I know they ship in Europe only. That's the link to the site: www.pleta.bg/en/new-yarn/yarns-by-tape/yarn-machine/ As you are a beginner, I would recommend you learn the machine using acrylic yarn, then move to the expensive ones. I can't buy anything from abroad, so can't recommend sites or links for the accessories and parts of the machine. I use only what I have here. If you have a Facebook account, you may join the Passap group and ask there. There are a lot of friendly and helpful people that may help with finding yarn stores and the parts for the machine you need. That's the link to the FB group: facebook.com/groups/779223535578115

Thank you so much for your kind words! I checked the color changer thoroughly, but unfortunately, I couldn't find a specific model number on it or the extension plate. The only identifier I found was a serial number, which, upon comparison with my spare color changer, turned out to be different. So, it seems they are serial numbers rather than model numbers. Based on the information available on the site you provided ( www.andeeknits.co.uk/c-600-passap-4-colour-changer.html ), it appears to be the C-600. This model can automatically switch between 2 colors and has 4 eyelet holders. It doesn't have any cables or electrical components. On the right extension plate of the front bed, I found only the word "color" written in black letters. It's possible that it could be an older model, or there might be variations in branding across different countries. Best wishes to you too! 😊 If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
Hi! The white part is used to open the jaws when the lock is moved towards the color changer. In the video, the broken part I showed at the beginning is specifically for the color changer that has only 2 eyelets. This part must be slid into the metal rail on the back bed before installing the color changer. The same part for the color changer with 4 eyelets, which is already installed in the video, comes with a metal plate on top and several screws. However, the other part just needs to be slid into the rail. You can see at 0:43, the mounted one is for the larger color changer, and the one I am holding should be used with the smaller one. Hope this helps!
hi there my friend, I am having difficulty with the color changer. I have the four color one. The lever is very hard to pull to the right. Either I am quite a weakling, or it needs oiling? What do you think my friend?
Hi, I checked all 3 color changers that I have. The lever on all 3 of them is easy to pull. The force needed to pull it is equal to about 1.5 - 2 kilos (I checked by pulling the lever with a luggage scale). On the backside of one of the changers, I saw some leftover grease, so I guess the people that have been using the machine before me have put it there. Maybe try to clean it first by spraying it with some surgical spirit. It should help loosen the dried-out grease, oil, or dirt that might be stuck in there.
