The worst thing about Tom Brady broadcasting games is now I'll have to once again constantly hear how that fraud is the football goat. Get. Me. Out.
I agree completely Buttpounder
How is he a fraud 😂😂
Cheating scandals, NFL refs constantly bailing him out, Top 10 defense almost every single season of his career. Vinatieri being the Difference in 3 of his super bowl wins.
The most damning piece of evidence is that, for once, we actually got a counter-factual. The season Brady tore his ACL, his team still went 11-5, only missing the playoffs by a fluke.
Now let's compare that to the year Manning was out for the Colts. How did they do hmmm? 🤔🤔🤔
We got a top tier hater 😂
Alright OFFICIALLY A MEMBER!! YOU GUYS FREAKING ROCK!! 🎉🎉
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO 🎉
@@ThePaulFarringtonShow next episode imma fold
Can you imagine being stuck w/Dak for another 5 years @ $60 million per year?! Ouch.
$60M for a Divisional round ceiling😂
@@eliice1715 and a 30 year old QB who has likely hit his ceiling
Happy Tuesday under 80 days until kickoff now
Ziggy is spot on. Fans don’t tune into games because of the announcing crew. They watch to see their team play. Never understood why these networks waste money on tv announcers when fans will watch their favorite team anyway
Ironically, Arizona is on Pacific time half the year and Mountain the other half of the year, but Colorado (which touches Arizona at 4 Corners) is "Midwest"...
Packer Fan.
For years I couldn’t stand how much Buck & Aikman sound alike. Now I really miss those dudes. NFC North games just aren’t the same.
Thanks for the *quack quack* Ziggy!
Wow! This is incredibly generous. Thank you JK! If you need me to make any other animal noises, just say the word... *quack quack* 🦆
Glad we have the PFS to help get us thru the great football drought until training camp 😊 Go Pack!
PFS > PFF
Wisconsin bartender here, Jack I can assure you Fireball is nothing to a Wisconsin drinker, its actually a good way chase the Malort flavor out of your mouth. Don't worry, we carry more 'entry level' shots for folks like you, maybe Rumchata or Vanillacuddy's would be less of a knife to your stomach?
New member, who dis?
A little pushback on the Tannehill never had a stretch like Love; Tannehill's first season and a half with the Titans is a 26 game sample size. 18-8 as a starter, 55 TDs to 13 INTs, and led the league in yards per pass attempt during that 10 game stretch that got him the comeback player of the year (7-3, 22 TDs, 6 INTs in that time to get that award, followed that up with career highs 33 TDs, 7 INTs 11-5). Those were just his passing numbers, you can add 11 rushing TDs too for that season and a half. He wasn't getting MVP from Aaron Rodgers because Rodgers had 48 TDs and 5 INTs during the full year that year, but that full year, compare his numbers to Patrick Mahomes that and then say Tannehill's stretch wasn't right up there with Love's.
Those seasons are why everyone knows Tennehill's name, so I agree with you. I would guess that it feels different with Love because of the Packers pedigree of developing elite QB's. Even with a smaller sample size, you combine that with the Packers QB track record and it makes people comfortable saying Love will be the guy.
@@1_underthesun I agree with you in that I don't think Love is Tannehill, my point was only to go so far to say that Tannehill went from a top ten QB over the course of a year and a half, with stretches in there where he was top 5 or even 3, to not being even a quality starter over the course of a single offseason. It COULD happen with Love based off the fact that he was hot for 10 games, and that was immediately after a cold streak. I don't think it will, because I trust our organization in Green Bay and think we found the right guy. The way the play calling changed in favor of cutting Love loose being part of the catalyst for the hot streak is particularly encouraging; you like seeing a guy look better when he's allowed more freedom, because that means it's not so much him being managed by the coaching staff. The superstitious hockey player in me never lets me say something will for sure happen though, because then I know it wont; so I try to be as realistic in expectations as possible.
I for one, actually wouldn't mind having a great sportscaster and a knowledgeable football mind calling the Texans games. I'm not talking about Brady because I don't yet know what he's like. But I do appreciate having guys like Joe Buck and Troy Aikman calling our games. Then you have the old tandems like Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico, as well as the goat tandem of Al Michaels and John Madden. To me, these guys make the viewing experience way more enjoyable. Again, I can't speak on Brady because I don't know what he will be like, but we will see.
To me the anouncers only mater when they are either really bad or really annoying. That being said it is nice when you have a great announcer caling the game. And to me the worst thing about Tom Brady announcing is Greg Olsen getting bumped for it.
Jack do you realize how many absolute drunks live in Wisconsin??? 😂
Itll be interesting to hear tom in the booth but I do agree there will be some novelty to it.
Can't do fireball in Wisconsin? I play beer league hockey, and on special occasions when 4 to 8 beers for a game or two of hockey doesn't cut it, it's time to skate sloppy on 4 shots of fireball, the two substances that flow more than water in our hockey league (if you commit a penalty in our league, you have to bring a case of beer or a dozen shots for your locker room.)
Also Jack, don't hurt yourself trying to drink with Wisconsin. 4 fireballs is my "I'm about to play hockey" state (just buzzed enough to give myself a little head rush when I make a sudden turn on ice) and I'm like, the lightweight of my team. The government raised the threshold of what's officially considered binge drinking (from four drinks in a sitting to eight) for their statistics to lower Wisconsin's number down to 25.2% of it's population are daily binge drinkers (Which is still a higher percentage of than if you take the whole country and determine if they're weekly binge drinkers.) Also, at the Great American Beer Festival doesn't allow Wisconsin military vets to compete, because when they were allowed to compete; they always won and are now considered ringers, so definitely watch out for vets if you're trying to drink with Wisconsin.
@@KeithMoon13 Idk if this rumor is true, but I heard it many times 10-15 years ago that at the yearly drinking contest in Tijuana, students of the University of Wisconsin Madison historically won so often they were banned from participation for a number of years.
@@1_underthesun That also wouldn't surprise me, I'm a Madison alum myself, Mifflin Street block party that we put on every year goes through as more beer per day for a weekend than Oktoberfest does most years. We outdrink Germans in beer, because most of our families were Germans who moved to icy cold Wisconsin. Helps you stay warm from September through May if the winter is bad (we haven't had that in a little while now, we're either due, or Al Gore was on to something.)
5 bad games out of 19, and we keep saying only 10 good games in a row. The beginning of the season looked good, but the drops were a problem. Love reacted by trying to force it, leading to higher INTs.
I think the receiving core around Love is another reason why people are ok saying he'll be great, even with such a small sample size. Love had that 10 game run with the youngest receiver group in the league (possibly in the history of the league) who were all still learning how to play the position at the pro level. Had Love had a Driver, Nelson, Jones, and Adams to throw to and put up the exact same numbers over those 10 games as he did last season, idk if people would be as confident saying he's "the guy", as the receivers would be garnering a lot of the attention and credit.
@1_underthesun yeah looking at his stats he had a comparable year to Joe burrows super bowl run. I think people also over look the fact Love threw the second most TD passes last year. It's not solely him doing it for sure! These WRs are good, it took time for them to get on the same page, then injuries kicked in and they still put together a good run
Okay, lemme enter the mailbag melee (even though yall never read my mailbag questions _[fire ziggy]_ ☹)...
Pick 1 starter on offense and defense for each NFC north team(and AFC north if Jack doesnt wanna be left out) that will play themselves into a backup role by 2025.
Then do the same for backups who will play their way into starting roles for each.
"Paul will humiliate himself for you" at 50 members.
I think he would humiliate himself regardless of memberships lol true masochist. But I suppose you have to be to continue to support the vikings 😂 jk much love for you guys!! ❤️
I liked Rich Gannon and Billick the best…..wtf do I know?
Anyone but Troy Aikmen announcing my game thanks
Jack needs me to upload pour tutorials but he thinks he can drink the central US under the table 🙃
Kids never know what they don't know. Lol
Thank you acknowledging that the Packers All White Uniforms are the best and that the vikings once again come behind us.
Also yea winter warriors in a dome, pfff
Sorry Ryu, I think the Bengals have us all beat…
Jack you are insane😂 you out drink wisconsin 😅
Jack thinks he can take on the most alcoholic state in the country to a drinking contest despite the fact that he's feeling a fireball shooter 40 and somehow Paul comes in with an even more unhinged take at the last minute.
And I mean all of that as a compliment
Couldn't care less if Brady is broadcasting. I'll turn down the sound and turn on the Packer's Radio Network.
What if Dallas is banking on there backup being good and let dak walk after this year
That would be very foolish
I don't think the cowboys believe Dak can win a superbowl. he is expendable.
Wow, an actual podcast that has rational thinking about Trevor backed with facts instead of acting like a bunch of fantasy fanboys.
What all you people who have never watched every single snap as I have don't realized is his numbers don't tell the whole story. Calvin Ridley just wasn't good, Kirk got hurt and out for the season, Zay Jones hurt, Trevor had 4 major injuries and a horrible o-line. Plus Jags have been traditional 3-5 win team season after season after season. The last 2 season. Trevor has taken an irrelevant losing franchise to back to back 9-8 winning seasons with a playoff win and taking Chiefs down to the wire the next game. And that is b/c of #16.
If Jags cut Trevor right now 23 teams would break their neck running to their phone to call his agent. These aren't opinions, just facts.
There isnt anyone i would definitely like to cast the packers game; but there are definitely some I DONT want to cast it. Troy Aikman is the most annoying
Unpopulqr opinion: As much as I love them both,, I think Watson finishes flaming out by the end of the season, with him and Melton on the bubble going into 2025, and I think Reed and Wicks end up as the #s 1&2 with Doubs cemented as a mid #3.
Im not as high on this receiver room as others tend to be.
Forgot about Heath, probably same trajectory as Doubs, #3 kind of guy.
Really not vibing with ziggy mike quality ❤❤
Yeah, he's traveling right now... Soon it'll be back to the usual standard!
