I have to remind myself that quality of life was much lower, healthcare was laughable, life expectancy was much lower, childbirth was far more dangerous for mother and child, opportunities for education and research were limited, there was a recession and a depression that transitioned almost directly into WWII barely skipping a beat. The truly rich and wealthy lived well and enjoyed this extravagance, but almost everyone else would only be able to see a building like this from the outside, and only briefly (or never if they didn't live close by), only to confront the stark reality of their own meager life soon after. I wouldn't trade places with someone from the 30s for a second.
Love Wes Anderson's movies!!!
Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Stanley Kubrick's hotel.
Madam D and The Sorcerer Supreme are one in the same!
To think that building actually exists...sigh. I was definitely born in the wrong era.

Like you would ever get into that hotel haha
His movies feel like a live action Ghibli film
What to see in side?🙃
