Thank you for this review! I've been in Welding School for almost 3 months now (in a 7 month program) and I've been thinking about getting a machine for myself to get more practice outside the school. Good to know that an affordable machine also gets the job done!

I'm always shocked to see professional welders recommending not to "cheap out" on a first machine and insisted on a $1000+ to someone who is new or has not done any welding before. It's a terrible shame and it probably keeps alot of people away from learning how to weld. I'm glad that there are companies like Yes Welder and others that are bringing budget options to the market that perform just as good as the big brands.

I did an unboxing on this same machine and worked great on my 220v test. I was looking if there was a button to select material thickness or if the manual was referring to the wire thickness. I bought the Rode Wireless Me mics and crackle alot, is there a fix for them.

I've never experienced the Rode mics crackling, so I don't know. Glad you like your welder!

Is your polarity reversed for flux? Looks like it’s not

why nobody measures the output current on 110 and 220 to see if customers are getting what they ay for.too bad yes welders don't have spot weld feature.

Spot welding is really only used by the Chinese and by auto body welders. Most people won't use it, so it makes sense not to include it on every machine, because then everyone would pay more for a feature most wouldn't use.

@@TheNateTakenot a big deal most welder know how to spot weld but once you start using it, it's very nice.
I use it all thte time. as you said, thin metal sheets and body work. but yeswelder and tooliom don't have it. even arccaptain and most welders on amazon have it. including Decapower I'm thinking about buying.

120A on stick is for 1/8" ROD, not material. Looks like you're using 1/16", maybe 3/32 rod. 1/16 rod should be in the 20-45A range and 3/32 should be 40-90A. And also... you going WAY, waaay too fast. Go slower than you think you need to go and do slow 1/8" circles as you move along .... slowly (or side to side, but slow circles are easier for new stick welders). Keep a tight arc length. If you get undercut, you're going too fast or not pausing long enough on the toes. Pause on the toe, move through the middle, pause on the other toe (when moving side to side).
