I found this dresser at a thrift store for $8.00. It was a homemade piece but wasn't well made and needed some work to make it structurally sound.
After fixing the damage I got to work painting it. I primed it then painted it with chalk paint.
Then I used some large flower stickers that I found at Dollar Tree!
And then used water based sealer to seal everything.

This little dresser turned out great. Try putting some wax on the drawer slides. Might help them slide more smoothly.

This has the potential to become a family heirloom now! Passed down through generations. I also see it as beautiful decor for a bnb. Tastefully done. Nothing over the top. Although, true, maybe a crystal knob drawer pull or some simply painted wooden drawer pulls that blended in ... I honestly don't mind the black handles. All in all, a fantastic flip!! Congrats & good luck with it!

I used white bar soap dry, rub on any place that slides. It works great. I love dollar tree decals they are pretty good quality considering.

Depending on what you’re using the table for, then applying 3 coats of polyurethane should keep the stickers from peeling up.

It turned out really nice! Love it! Have you tried to rub an old candlestick on the slides and drawers? Usually helps a lot with old pieces like this👍

I have used wax before on another dresser. I’m not sure wax would help much with this one just because of the style of “drawer runs” but I might give it a try to see if it helps.

I wonder if you could use the decals they come out with for holidays...the window clings...and seal with poly? I want to make a santa dresser like i saw but cant find a rub on furniture transfer. Was thinking deal might be nice
You definitely could! I added a little bit of Elmer’s glue under the stickers for added strength and then sealed it with polyethylene.

Do you feel the edge of the sticker when you rub your hand across it? That would be my main concern having it feel like a giant sticker.
There is a little lip where the sticker is but it’s not real bad after applying the polyethylene.

The stickers are holding up great. Haven’t had any issues with them.
