both have their own unique accesories as well. anby has a headphone that she constantly wears and soldier has a visor that she rarely takes off. my theory is there could be another sister with a mouth piece or a mask so the tree of them completes the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" theme

You have to remember that Anby is the face of the game. So, surely Hoyo could add some huge lore related stuff or pull off some crazy plot twist with her in the story similar to what they did with Kiana from HI3.

The "Voice in her head" That at first seems like herself telling herself to keep calm, shows a small sillouette of them at one point, and while they look extremely similar... the silloutette has a braid in the left side of her hair, one that Soldier does not... but Anby does. So honestly, sisters theory is seeming more accurate, why else would Soldier be hearing advice from potentially Anby in the middle of a stressful moment? Advice such as. "Calm down, access the situation." or "You're outnumbered, show a little weakness and you'll get an opening." Seems very to the point battle strat that a resident Kuudere might give.

Anby has dialogue in a trust quest (i think it was a trust quest at least) where she is shaming noodle burgers and 11 calls burgers junk food also, if you assist Anby w 11 as she gets injured in the english dub 11 calls out 'Anby' and in the chinese dub she calls out 'Zero' so if Anby was part of the defense force she would have been Soldier 0, i think. u should also watch 11's trailer, Anby is talking to 11 in it even tho she's not there and there's lots of great observations in the comments about the clone/sister theory! :)
@@Zaku_21 I know this is five months old, but your the first person I've read that has a similar thought to mine, though I think they're clones, which techinically doesn't mean they're not sisters. I mean identical twins ARE literally clones of eachother. During the whole rescuing the people during from the demolition early in the game, Anby makes a comment along the lines of something like 'this time I won't fail to save them' or something like that, hinting at her past. Then there is Soldier 11's hatred towards traitors, but I don't think that means Anby. In the Soldier 11 trailer we obviously hear Anby's voice trying to guide 11, but 11 obviously doing the exact opposite of what the voice was telling her, but it's what 11 said at the end, "I'll walk my own path", that makes me think she did so NOT because Anby was the traitor, but because she believes that Anby's way was too passive and if she had been more aggressive then things may have been different. My theory is that they are clones, as someone pointed in one of the comments, possibly of a voidhunter. My guess, just based on the known appearances of the currently known voidhunters would be 'Sunbringer', though that could probably mean nothing. My theory is that Anby, or as 11 calls her in the CN version 'Zero', was gentically engineered and modified and the rest were actually cloned from her after whoever had created a stable, viable creation. Afterall, in medical terms, the person that a disease outbreak starts with is generally referred to as 'Patient Zero'. As the possible progenitor, she was the best and was in charge of the rest. Obviously something went down and most of the rest, if not all of the others besides Anby and 11 were killed because of a betrayal. Anby ended up ditching OBOL while 11 stayed. For reference I just started the game nine days ago and I've completed all the current content.
I think what give more credence to the clone thing is S11 calls Anby Solider 0 in Chinese. This implies there are/were more Anby clones. Or, Anby is the original that the clones were made from.
This is a bit of a late comment but I just logged on to do the puzzle event and one of the puzzles is an image of both Soldier 11 and Anby fighting alongside each other. Just felt like it needed to be said.
Just like how they try to relate Billy with his old gang, the Sons of Calydons, i hope they make the same thing for Anby too with the Obol Squad in the future and alos meet with that sniper girl as playable character too in the Hole in The Mole character story too when they release the whole squad in the update. Cuz i feel like Cunning Hares are kinda mix of from each other factions that goes different way of life and team up into their own new faction. That's how i see Cunning Hares Faction so far.
I haven't really been keeping up with ZZZ until about a few weeks ago and I thought they were the same character i just assumed she was "Anby" with people she knows and is comfortable and she's "solder 11" Out with people she doesn't know but I guess I was wrong
0:30 I researched somewhere that if you swap between Anby and Soldier 11 in battle, 11 will refer to Anby as “Zero” perhaps alluding that Anby was soldier 0; which is also reinforced in Soldier 11’s character teaser, when Soldier 11 gets surrounded, Anby’s voice can be heard followed by her silhouette appearing with only her hair being shown guiding and coaching Solider 11 on what she has to do to survive her predicament. So I think their designs were intentional to give players a hint of the relationship between the two.
One thing I can’t help but think about is when you do Soldier 11’s story, the rebels mentioned a rumor about Soldier 11 secretly executing an unidentified traitor. Because all rumors have some basis to it, I can’t help but think the situation between Anby and 11 ended in such a way that people thought she executed Anby where in reality 11 let her go while internalizing the betrayal and events to explain her hatred for traitors.
Anby might have been a drill sarge or sum like this, in an event at the video store, a girl gets caught stealing tapes by Anby and Wise mention that Anby speaks like a drill sarge to the young girl. Anby says that she used to do that a long time ago if i remember right. So maybe Anby trained Soldier 11 so the clone or super soldier theory might be kind pf true
If they give us a 3rd "sibling" I wonder if it would be ether or ice and would she have her mouth cover. Soldier has her eyes covered, Anby her ears and so on.
There's a scene part of soldier 11 where there's a white haired girl talking to her in the sword and it sounds just like anby. Telling her to be calm and collected.
Anby gave punishment to the movie thief in Random store, MC commented that Anby is like a drill instructor to which she replied it's what she used to do. So she actually ranked higher than Soldier 11, since you need to be sgt minimum to be selected as drill instructor, she has less combat capability than 11 which makes sense since DI are rarely deployed.
I'm not sure if it's a mandela effect, but I swear I've heard 11 shout "Anby !" during a reactive assist while they were on the same team (Anby was hit and 11 switched in).

There is an assumption here in the form of the older sister’s standard promise in such stories to always protect the younger one. I never really cared for Soldier 11, since I don’t remember encountering her in the main story. Ch.1 Cunning Hares, Ch.1 Interlude: HAND (Miyabi), Ch.2 Belobog, Ch.2 interlude: PubSec (Zhu Yuan), Ch.3 Victoria House; I only recently learned that the agent stories takes place after the chapter where we met them; and when playing Soldier 11’s agent story, I thought it was either just a dream, fantasy or a what-if story the siblings made up, I didn’t think we actually encountered Soldier 11 since she didn’t play a role in the main story.
There's also the 3rd trust event for where she mentioned she used to do something similar to drill instructors. I wonder if she lead a squad of clones and then have to destroy all of them except S11 and left because of the guilt.
Honestly, I've thought of them as twin sisters because in a way it make sense but only difference between them is their abilities. My guess is that's why soldier 11 hates traitors so much is because maybe at one point Anby abandoned soldier 11 during a mission. But I'm sure we'll get a definitive answer somewhere down the line.
I know I'm late to the party but I've been playing and I noticed something interesting if anby and soldier 11 are in the same party and anby takes a heavy hit and you switch to soldier 11 she'll yell out anby in a panicked tone so I think they might he sisters
While the clone theory would be funny, the sister theory seems more accurate. They were both raised in the military but Anby got out while Soldier 11 stayed. It also plays into Anby's monotone way of speaking. She was raised with a military mindset so she's not very expressive. At least normally. But Anby goes out of her way to try to be as goofy as she can be despite her cut-and-dry demeanor. Meaning she _knows_ she comes off as emotionless and is actively trying to change that. Probably why she joined the Cunning Hares in the first place. They're so far removed from a military aspect which is exactly what Anby wanted. Also the idea that Soldier 11 may just have some antagonistoc feelings toward her while at the same time trying to protect her is a neat caveat; unlike Anby she couldn't just abandon the military but she also knows that Anby should be able to live her for herself. I can't wait to see how ZZZ explores this. This is a damn good setup that I hope pays off in a big way.

I thought Anby was a robot until just now. I pulled Soldier 11 and noticed the similarity and went to investigate to find this video. Idk what made me think they were robots but if they were, what if they're the same line of soldier robots and Anby defected and joined the cunning hares. Makes sense why they'd be the daughters of a senior officer, maybe the one who made the robots. This all hinges on them being robots which is prob wrong cause I have zero clue where I got that idea
Honestly I'm leaning to the sisters angle. Mainly because Soldier 11 made a comment about how she has no right to judge someone on family. Combine that with the comment you showed about a how a daughter's decision is hers, it implies that Soldier and Anby both left home to join the military against their family's (or father specifically) wishes. Then after a particularly distasteful mission, Anby left and that hurt Soldier deeply.

In one of the Soldier 11 (Trust) quest will make a comment about how noodels are a great food and very nutritious etc. and bash on hamburgers as being trash food for disgusting people. I think it pretty clear that they're sisters that had some kind of drama happen between them...
If they are proven to be sisters I feel like that one of them is going to sacrifice themselves to protect the other in the story (likely Soldier 11 as Anby is the mascot character of the game and Soldier 11 is fire element and we know what happens to a certain fire element character in another hoyo game who happens to have character skin that also resembles Soldier 11's getup 💀), well if they have a chapter that explores their relationship then be prepared for a heartbreaker if Shaoji is writing it.
There has been situations when in Genshin and HSR character affiliation was unlocked after the main story and way after they became playable, maybe there is a chance Anby will get special treatment as both Cunning Hares and Obols Squad later so she can actually be s11 stun teammate and unlock the passive?

Well in HI3 we have Rozaliya and Lilya who are identical twins, Kiana being a direct clone of Durandal. All of these characters have differnt VAs.

@@Zaku_21 I know this is five months old, but your the first person I've read that has a similar thought to mine, though I think they're clones, which techinically doesn't mean they're not sisters. I mean identical twins ARE literally clones of eachother. During the whole rescuing the people during from the demolition early in the game, Anby makes a comment along the lines of something like 'this time I won't fail to save them' or something like that, hinting at her past. Then there is Soldier 11's hatred towards traitors, but I don't think that means Anby. In the Soldier 11 trailer we obviously hear Anby's voice trying to guide 11, but 11 obviously doing the exact opposite of what the voice was telling her, but it's what 11 said at the end, "I'll walk my own path", that makes me think she did so NOT because Anby was the traitor, but because she believes that Anby's way was too passive and if she had been more aggressive then things may have been different.
My theory is that they are clones, as someone pointed in one of the comments, possibly of a voidhunter. My guess, just based on the known appearances of the currently known voidhunters would be 'Sunbringer', though that could probably mean nothing. My theory is that Anby, or as 11 calls her in the CN version 'Zero', was gentically engineered and modified and the rest were actually cloned from her after whoever had created a stable, viable creation. Afterall, in medical terms, the person that a disease outbreak starts with is generally referred to as 'Patient Zero'. As the possible progenitor, she was the best and was in charge of the rest. Obviously something went down and most of the rest, if not all of the others besides Anby and 11 were killed because of a betrayal. Anby ended up ditching OBOL while 11 stayed. For reference I just started the game nine days ago and I've completed all the current content.
I think what give more credence to the clone thing is S11 calls Anby Solider 0 in Chinese. This implies there are/were more Anby clones. Or, Anby is the original that the clones were made from.
This is a bit of a late comment but I just logged on to do the puzzle event and one of the puzzles is an image of both Soldier 11 and Anby fighting alongside each other. Just felt like it needed to be said.
Just like how they try to relate Billy with his old gang, the Sons of Calydons, i hope they make the same thing for Anby too with the Obol Squad in the future and alos meet with that sniper girl as playable character too in the Hole in The Mole character story too when they release the whole squad in the update.
Cuz i feel like Cunning Hares are kinda mix of from each other factions that goes different way of life and team up into their own new faction. That's how i see Cunning Hares Faction so far.
I haven't really been keeping up with ZZZ until about a few weeks ago and I thought they were the same character i just assumed she was "Anby" with people she knows and is comfortable and she's "solder 11" Out with people she doesn't know but I guess I was wrong

I researched somewhere that if you swap between Anby and Soldier 11 in battle, 11 will refer to Anby as “Zero” perhaps alluding that Anby was soldier 0;
which is also reinforced in Soldier 11’s character teaser, when Soldier 11 gets surrounded, Anby’s voice can be heard followed by her silhouette appearing with only her hair being shown guiding and coaching Solider 11 on what she has to do to survive her predicament.
So I think their designs were intentional to give players a hint of the relationship between the two.
One thing I can’t help but think about is when you do Soldier 11’s story, the rebels mentioned a rumor about Soldier 11 secretly executing an unidentified traitor. Because all rumors have some basis to it, I can’t help but think the situation between Anby and 11 ended in such a way that people thought she executed Anby where in reality 11 let her go while internalizing the betrayal and events to explain her hatred for traitors.
Anby might have been a drill sarge or sum like this, in an event at the video store, a girl gets caught stealing tapes by Anby and Wise mention that Anby speaks like a drill sarge to the young girl. Anby says that she used to do that a long time ago if i remember right. So maybe Anby trained Soldier 11 so the clone or super soldier theory might be kind pf true
If they give us a 3rd "sibling" I wonder if it would be ether or ice and would she have her mouth cover. Soldier has her eyes covered, Anby her ears and so on.
There's a scene part of soldier 11 where there's a white haired girl talking to her in the sword and it sounds just like anby. Telling her to be calm and collected.
Anby gave punishment to the movie thief in Random store, MC commented that Anby is like a drill instructor to which she replied it's what she used to do. So she actually ranked higher than Soldier 11, since you need to be sgt minimum to be selected as drill instructor, she has less combat capability than 11 which makes sense since DI are rarely deployed.
In Honkai Impact 3rd, there were several Bronyas who were clones meant to fight Honkai Beasts. I assume Anby and S11 are this game's Bronyas.
I'm not sure if it's a mandela effect, but I swear I've heard 11 shout "Anby !" during a reactive assist while they were on the same team (Anby was hit and 11 switched in).

Get an elite enemies/big enemies that do multi-hit attacks then when Anby got hit and you see S11 appear on quick assist then click it and there is a *CHANCE* for her to say and im pretty sure it works on other language too (already test with JP)

I never really cared for Soldier 11, since I don’t remember encountering her in the main story.
Ch.1 Cunning Hares, Ch.1 Interlude: HAND (Miyabi), Ch.2 Belobog, Ch.2 interlude: PubSec (Zhu Yuan), Ch.3 Victoria House; I only recently learned that the agent stories takes place after the chapter where we met them; and when playing Soldier 11’s agent story, I thought it was either just a dream, fantasy or a what-if story the siblings made up, I didn’t think we actually encountered Soldier 11 since she didn’t play a role in the main story.
There's also the 3rd trust event for where she mentioned she used to do something similar to drill instructors. I wonder if she lead a squad of clones and then have to destroy all of them except S11 and left because of the guilt.
Honestly, I've thought of them as twin sisters because in a way it make sense but only difference between them is their abilities.
My guess is that's why soldier 11 hates traitors so much is because maybe at one point Anby abandoned soldier 11 during a mission. But I'm sure we'll get a definitive answer somewhere down the line.

I know I'm late to the party but I've been playing and I noticed something interesting if anby and soldier 11 are in the same party and anby takes a heavy hit and you switch to soldier 11 she'll yell out anby in a panicked tone so I think they might he sisters
While the clone theory would be funny, the sister theory seems more accurate. They were both raised in the military but Anby got out while Soldier 11 stayed. It also plays into Anby's monotone way of speaking. She was raised with a military mindset so she's not very expressive. At least normally. But Anby goes out of her way to try to be as goofy as she can be despite her cut-and-dry demeanor. Meaning she _knows_ she comes off as emotionless and is actively trying to change that. Probably why she joined the Cunning Hares in the first place. They're so far removed from a military aspect which is exactly what Anby wanted. Also the idea that Soldier 11 may just have some antagonistoc feelings toward her while at the same time trying to protect her is a neat caveat; unlike Anby she couldn't just abandon the military but she also knows that Anby should be able to live her for herself.
I can't wait to see how ZZZ explores this. This is a damn good setup that I hope pays off in a big way.

I thought Anby was a robot until just now. I pulled Soldier 11 and noticed the similarity and went to investigate to find this video. Idk what made me think they were robots but if they were, what if they're the same line of soldier robots and Anby defected and joined the cunning hares. Makes sense why they'd be the daughters of a senior officer, maybe the one who made the robots. This all hinges on them being robots which is prob wrong cause I have zero clue where I got that idea
Honestly I'm leaning to the sisters angle. Mainly because Soldier 11 made a comment about how she has no right to judge someone on family. Combine that with the comment you showed about a how a daughter's decision is hers, it implies that Soldier and Anby both left home to join the military against their family's (or father specifically) wishes. Then after a particularly distasteful mission, Anby left and that hurt Soldier deeply.

I think it pretty clear that they're sisters that had some kind of drama happen between them...
If they are proven to be sisters I feel like that one of them is going to sacrifice themselves to protect the other in the story (likely Soldier 11 as Anby is the mascot character of the game and Soldier 11 is fire element and we know what happens to a certain fire element character in another hoyo game who happens to have character skin that also resembles Soldier 11's getup 💀), well if they have a chapter that explores their relationship then be prepared for a heartbreaker if Shaoji is writing it.

There has been situations when in Genshin and HSR character affiliation was unlocked after the main story and way after they became playable, maybe there is a chance Anby will get special treatment as both Cunning Hares and Obols Squad later so she can actually be s11 stun teammate and unlock the passive?
Who knows, maybe we could get a future s or a rank variant of anby that can pare with s11 in obol sqaud..

Since Anby is the face of the game and she is being called “zero”, I strongly believe that she will play a much bigger role in the story than shown so far. I feel like solider 11 is a nice first hint to this and will also explain a lot later down the line

In fact you look more like a military instructor" Something like that the meaning of the phrase, my game is not in English, anby responds by saying "it must be because I've done something like that in the past" implying she was once part of a military force so the theory of she have any relation with soldier 11 might be true
