    Man, I said it before but you really did it right. So glad you’ve got a great relationship with a dealer local to you. Nothing more enjoyable than to be plugged in to that local support who has your best interest, they’re good peeps to drop in on, grab a coffee, compare notes and share good chatter with.

    Thanks for sharing Ty, should help out others who are considering this. Just to let you know I went to trade my 21 Road Glide in for a 24, got the run around from the dealer that I bought the last two Harleys from, and I know you always speak highly of White Lightning. Gave them a call, even though they are about 90 miles from the house. They took good care of me, got the bike I was looking for and picked it up a couple days later, I mentioned I follow you on UA-cam, and you always have good things to say. Possum said he knows you, they all seem like good people and seems to be a pretty nice dealership.

      Sayyyyy what?! That is AWESOME! It's nice to hear good things about White Lightning and I really happy to hear that they were able to take good care of you. Yup. Possum is a great guy and I try to say hello to him when I stop in the dealership. Thank you very much for watching!

    I did a Stage 2 on my 23 SGST 117 soon after purchase.
    After alot of research and because I live in the torque, I chose:
    Zippers RS468 torque cam kit, which upgrades everything in the cam chest with black pushrod covers. Has an awesome lope.
    BA Feuling air intake.
    Khromewerks 2 into 1 Outlaw with cone reducer, catless
    Left manifold stock
    Trask checkM8 trans cover. I highly recommend it, especially for modded motors. No more misting into intake at all. No added hp but throttle response is more crisp so to speak.
    I ended up 117 hp at 5600 and 137 tq at 2720 rpm. Like you I had to get use to the lower end. What a beast. The numbers are better than a '24 "121" CVO with performance exhaust added
    Im into for about 4500.
    Thank goodness for the understanding wife. Stay safe

    Wasn’t sportster S a more powerful bike and if I say one could just choose to spend on Wilbers suspension that increase the travel to 3 inch from 1.5 inch and just customise the seat for comfort that would make the bike all good for long travel. What do you reckon since you owned a sportster S.

    • @TyFromTennessee
      @TyFromTennessee  Місяць тому

      The Sportster S might have been faster, but I just couldn't ride that one for long distances. Nothing bad to say about the bike, but it just wasn't for me for all day riding trips no matter what modifications I did. Thank you for watching and I appreciate your time!

    Ty…did the 30/30 cam you used in the stage 2 void the extended warranty or did your local dealership agree to honor the warranty. I thought you had to use Screaming Eagle parts for stage 2 builds if you want all Harley dealerships to honor a warranty. I want to do this same exact upgrade so curious about warranty. Thanks

    • @TyFromTennessee
      @TyFromTennessee  Місяць тому

      Hey Bob. I think you’re probably right but I purchased an extended warranty with a third party that honors aftermarket parts. That way if something goes sideways my motorcycle parts Harley and non-Harley parts will be covered. I’m happy to get you more information if that is helpful.

    Good video - lots of FUD out there around what something like this costs. I did a similar video as well that's gotten a lot of traffic. As I mention in my video, you *can* do a stage 2 on the cheap - but I wouldn't recommend it. Too many "while you're in there..." things that you might as well go ahead and do. I'm pretty handy and have done every bit of work on my bike except doing the cam. I just didn't have the time to get this done and figured it was something best left to the pro's since I'm new to HD and wasn't interested in destroying my new bike. ua-cam.com/video/0t46bQEK0Ng/v-deo.html
