I have always enjoyed comparing the chakras to the rainbow-I compare Spirit to white light, and our physical world is like a Prism, refracting the white light into a “rainbow” of energies.

@L M The Jewish temple, Asgard mt olympus or "the place of the God's" is an allegory for the mind.
7 chackras are the 7 energy centers that need to be balanced (7 deadly sins wth their corresponding virtues) each of received a gift from each of the 7 gods (planet's) that we must return to them.
What I mentioned about the rainbow Bridge wasn't a guess. The great mystery schools never died they only went underground. I'm attached to the school of Odin so while yes this what I know to be true and believe in the end it is just my personal gnosis so I invite you to examine the possibility for yourself and decide if there is truth there or not..

Chakaras are energy center.. the middle pillar is to superimpose the tree of life over the body.. the sephirots are portals.. the chakaras energy centers.. not all colorful circles mean the same thing... traffic lights may have colorful balls of light... but have nothing to do with either Chakra or the tree of life... now we know and knowing is half the battle!

It's all about the adoption of / adaptation to systems when it comes to spiritual practice. How does one feel when connecting to them and using them? How does one use them, what can one gain from the practice? Everyone is on their own path, in their own state. While some people may not like one genre of music or film but love another, others may feel the exact opposite. Some might more or less enjoy all genres, appreciative what is behind it. It is like that with traditions and practices too. I really like the 'flower allegory' you're using, hits the nail on the head. I really enjoy that video, you convey a beautiful and far-sighted perspective on the topic of working with subtle energy centers.

For the Middle Pillar Vs. Chakra, my view has always been:
    Kether (White) = Crown (Violet)
Daath (Lavender) = Throat (Light Blue)
Tiphareth (Yellow Gold) = Heart (Green) and Solar Plexus (Yellow)
    Yesod (Violet) = Sacral (Orange)
    Malkuth (Black) = Root (Red)
Third Eye is the only Chakra not represented in the Middle Pillar Ritual, but I have in the back my mind that:
Chokmah = Third Eye (Blue Purple)
and Binah = Throat, same as Daath.
Nonetheless, Middle Pillar is just as complete as the Chakras, it isn't missing anything. Chakras are mapped to the person's spinal column, Middle Pillar is mapped to the whole body while standing. Due to this, I see Chakras as more anatomically correct, while Middle Pillar is more about the symbolism of how we use, and think about our bodies. Geburah being the Right Arm doesn't make sense until you realize it's the Sword arm, like Chesed is the Shield Arm. Malkuth and Root Chakras each are at the very base of the things they represent. The only Chakra/Sephirot I see as being in exactly the same place is the Kether/Crown Chakra, but even then I may be mistaken.
I don't really worry about the colour associations being different. The colours each make sense in their own system, the Chakras are clearly the rainbow colours in order, and Middle Pillar uses the colours that mach the 10/11 of the Sephira. And discrepancies can be attributed to differences of surface meanings vs. deep meanings. For example how Mars is in the Feminine pillar, Venus is in the Masculine one, how each Sephira has different colour associations in the different planes, or even how Aquarius is an Air Sign!
I have no problem with Malkuth being Brown / Citrine, Russet, Olive, Black in the Tree of Life, but pure black in Middle Pillar. I see Kether as both a brilliant light with no colour, and a simple bright white. I see Chokmah as ranging from the ordinary colour of white to a grey. (I imagine that Kether is pure brilliance, and Chokmah is ordinary white, but when you need to represent it with an actual colour, Kether is forced into being white, so Chokmah is just coloured grey to show how much it's outshone by Kether.) Daath can be represented anywhere from colourless to lavender. I never noticed the lavender colour's similarity to the light blue throat chakra till now....
Another way of putting it, is that the map is not the territory. Chakras and Middle Pillar are two different maps representing the same thing, written in different languages. The different colour systems are the different languages, some same words sound similar to each other, others are completely different, two similar sounding words in two languages, (or even the same language,) can mean two completely different things. Or it's like one is a street map of a City with all the Subway stations highlighted, and the other is the official stylized map of the subway system. You can even combine two different maps of the same thing to understand it more than using one on its own!

Well, i've been practicing and learning the way of tantric buddhism for a few years working around chakras in a western world, also learning about shamanic traditions which lead me to a lot of correspondances... I have found a master to learn yoga, but i also started ceremonial magick thanks to this channel and my judeo christian education which lead to very judeo christian inner problems, and to tell the truth, i can feel it's doing some good to me, so my conclusion is that the two paths eventually lead to illumination, but they don't adress it throught the same issues, i will keep practicing both now, and that is how i tied a gordian knot between the two very different traditions :)

When i first started studying different esoteric systems ,I had all the same questions. And by accident, after doing all he same type of drawings you are doing. I folded a drawing I had made of the Tree Of Life. Overlapping the two pillars and then laying this image onto a outline of a man in a meditation posture. This changes the ten to seven and curisponse even closer to the Eastern system (Chelsea). Love your work, thanks for all you do.. Hopefully this clear.

The tradition chakra system (not the new age shakra version), sites the chakras at the mid somatic sections, (back view), there exist a number of chakra detection devices, Patrick Flanagan's being probably the most interesting as it detects the pulsations of the chakras, the number of petals strongly correlates to half the peak frequencies of the Schumann standing wave resonance.
A book I recommend is "The Subtle Energy Body the Complete Guide" by Maureen Lochart, which not only deals with chakras, but also sephiroth, latifs, Daoist inner cultivation etc,

I was wondering why comparing chakras to the middle pillar was a thing. When I first heard about that, it left me scratching my head because the chakras, as they're known today, is actually a combination of at least two unrelated systems of teachings (chakras and frequency/color).
The chakras themselves, minus the colors and current meanings, goes back to the Upanishads and was simply a visualization aid. The only similarity I've found to the middle pillar, was that each chakra represents an aspect of an inner pilgrimage. This fits nicely with the middle pillar from that perspective, but they are truly different systems.
So, I think your assessment is really spot-on. Trying to match them up could turn into a game of Twister and take the meanings of the chakras even further away from it's original form.

My teacher always taught to not blindly believe anything but instead to experiment and observe so to know and to keep an open mind to other things we are yet to possibly know, we are encouraged to research and check out things from all traditions, there is some truth underlaying most things.
Buddha also says ""Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many."
"Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books."
"Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders."
"Do not believe in traditions simply because they have been handed down for many generations."
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it."
"But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

So, there's a few different traditions I use. I tend to approach each one as it's own, and don't assume 2 are trying to say the same thing. Sometimes I find points where they overlap, such as the Golem and a Shikigami and a servator. When this happens, I tend to look at all 3 truths and see how I can connect them, like connecting Legos with Knex. Usually usually have to use the micro parts separately, and rely on the macro connections. But sometimes, the micro parts connect, like a Knex rod going through a gap in a Bionical piece, which then you can use to build something intricate and new. Sometimes you'll need a new material (tradition), like clay, to connect pieces that normally couldn't go together.
I find as I explore, as long as I have a solid foundation which to test things with, I can discern truth relatively easily. Though I do have a nack for this, as I'm almost savant-level at pattern recognition in some things. (I refer to myself as a savant of Metaphysics, but no doctor would ever diagnose that as they don't see Metaphysics as real)
Honestly, it's why I experimented with different churches, and eventually settled on the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints as the perfect foundation for me to work on. It's how I came up with things such as my new reincarnation theory, which states that reincarnation is simply an acute access to the akashic records.

Awesome content! I'm still learning more about the middle pillar but I wanted to note that Yesod being purple and Malkuth being on the ground arent necessarily all that different!
In the chakra system there are "corresponding chakras" the root/ crown, solar plexus/throat, and finally third eye and Sacral! Sacral is roughly where Yesod would be and purple is associated with the third eye. Hope that makes sense!
Now for Malkuth - In Reiki the root extends beyond the spine and is responsible for everything below the sacral. The "Earth Star" is related to the root and has similar functions. It is considered to be a few feet below us. So where the earth star (ground) and root chakras (feet) meet would be roughly in Malkuth Territory.
I'm something of an Omnist, so I tend to believe the Hermetic principle of correspondence applies. I'm learning a lot on your channel, thank you so much.

Hello FF! I have been exploring your channel since your interview with Dr. Justin from esoterica channel.
I would recommend the best book I know associating the kabbalistic tree of life with a further developed chakra system, written by the founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, Choa Kok Sui: The Spiritual Essence of Man: The Chakras and the Inverted Tree of Life
He was very well versed in different esoteric systems, including the Golden Dawn system, but also conducted an extensive clairvoyant experimental research to clarify and demystify the question of the energy centers or chakras, presenting a system of 11 major chakras in the body (corresponding to the 10 sephirot, plus the hidden one) and a chakra above the head, making a total of 12 (in the book, this 12th chakra is associated with the kabbalistic concept Ain Soph Aur).

I work with energy and some energy centres can coexist in the same physical place as other energy centres but be offset by level of vibration. In that way the centre pillar and eastern view of the personal chakra system could be two completely separate sets of energy centres. Just a thought.

Funny this video came up. I did independent information gathering, on the chakras and its correspondences to the Qabalah; and that was a while back (about 1-2 years).
But...found a good website that "actually" corresponded the 10 Sephiroths "perfectly" with the 7 Chakras. However, in terms of Planetary correspondences, I found at least 5 different versions, regarding what Chakras correspondence to what planet (and at least 4 other versions doesn't correspond to the 10 Sephirots, just "pure" planetary correspondences).
And, again, not knowing the MP (middle pillar) at the time, I cannot comment on this video, with its relation to the Indo-Dharmic Chakras.

    • @jeremiezulaski3774
      @jeremiezulaski3774 3 роки тому +2

Agreed, the planetary correspondences for chakras are varied. Where did you derive your sources from?
Harish Johari and PF Case present the East/West distinction addressed in this video rather well as Vedic and Hellenistic astrology are different.
This divergence is similar to the elemental/directional correspondences that FF has addressed in a few videos relating to the BRP already. I looked several popular and notable esoteric sources (Agrippa, Kraig, Tyson, Brand, Echols, McCarthy etc.) and made a table that displayed a lot of differentiation...

The colour coding system only came about in the 70's as far as I've heard.
I think Kurt Leland talks about it
And there are way more chakras than 7, both within the body and extending beyond the head and feet.
Essentially what is currently used through western teaching is the playschool version of chakras XD

@@jackalope2302 Hi, the etheric body is the energy body, the "life force" we could say. It can still be considered matter, because it belongs to the material realm (electromagnetism/ether are 2 words describing the same thing). Astral is immaterial, and belongs to the "next" plane of existence called "astral plane" or "emotional plane". During OBEs, people are in etheric form, but are still navigating this world. Astral travels belong to the astral "dimension", another world altogether (though tied to this one). There is a short video called "the 4 planes of existence" by some online mystery-school that i found, or maybe other ones explain it concisely as well. Hope this helped a bit !

Congratulations. Well explained and well thought through.
I was thinking about the same thing a while ago and came to the conclusion that there are 2 completely different things. Chakra's have little to nothing to do with the Sephiroth, only very remote link e.g. similar placement in the body.
Even the Chakra's have different levels and Westerns will tell you different things about Chakra's than Indians. (like in your villages)
Same when you compare the Daoist/ Mantak Chia Teachings. In their tradition they don't talk about Chakra's they talk about a completely different level of energy system altogether.

Ken Wilber addresses this in a very interesting way in his Brief History of Everything. He more or less looks at these different systems as different cultural habits surrounding the division of commonly experienced spectra. One example of this is the difference between the Western 12-tone system of musical scales and the Indian swara. In most cases, the Indian system is capable of reproducing and interpreting western music without much difficulty, but the reverse is frequently difficult or impossible. This is because the Indian system incorporates tonal ratios not found in the 12-tone system as well as the 12 tones. One could say it is a more expressive notation system, but western musicians will likely draw less information from it since their training and upbringing did not involve the use of these foreign tonal ratios, so their ears and instruments will not readily resonate with those intervals. It is possible to learn, but it requires a degree of neuroplasticity that is difficult to retain past one's teenage years. I would imagine a similar barrier exists when one is learning maps of one's own body. Since I have learned less about the Middle Pillar map, I have less visceral feelings associated with it than I do the chakras with which I've undergone some personal training. I don't consider the middle pillar inferior or less detailed, but as you said I think it probably has a somewhat different purpose due to the Abrahamic religious context of the practices. Since I've had to distance myself from Abrahamic religious worldviews for psychological reasons, it's become difficult to understand and engage with Qabballah within the wider occult milieu lately. I do think there is something very valuable in it, but it is veiled in so much mystery at present that I question the utility of exploring it before other more immediately therapeutic spiritual traditions like yoga and TM.

    • @andythedishwasher1117

However, I concede that some Qabbalistic practices may indeed be immediately therapeutic if understood within a certain worldview that I've failed to construct for myself.

theres another channel on youtube called brotherhood of eternal light.. BOEL mystery school. they have a guided middle pillar meditation video and as shes leading up to the 1st intonation of Keter she explains that the chakras are part of the etheric level of the material plane, and says that the centers of the middle pillar on the sefirot exist on the astral plane and says they have a higher efficiency due to this.
comparing systems is not beneficial, they all have their merits when followed. but if your going to look for correlations between systems you must 1st clear your biases. the analogies can be perceived if you let go of you preconceptions but still, when you reach higher levels of spiritual and magical perception all this lower guiding starts starts to meld together and become meaningless and make much more sense honestly.

    • @lookoutitscaleb
      @lookoutitscaleb 3 роки тому +5

To my knowledge the ROY g BIV system is something imprinted upon the chakras later by more recent yogis to help with visualizations. The original way in which they are referred to in the Vedas is that each center is a Temple housing a Deity with which we are to visit on our pilgrimage. Each center is related to a Deity or emanation of the Divine and the yogi meditates on the Concepts associated with that Deity.
IE the root chakra is Brahma in the form of the Creator and ROOT of existence. The image used is Brahma with 4 arms and 4 heads seated atop a Lotus, and the Element is EARTH.

yes.. the colours of the rainbow were put onto the chakras to simplify things to aid in teaching people chakra basics but are not the actual colours there eg the heart chakra actually has no green in it at all but is a combination of gold with a little red which can be seen if one can see chakras properly. The front heart chakra actually looks like the inner part of the crown chakra. The crown chakra has nine hundred and sixty outer petals and twelve inner petals with the inner being nearly all gold and the outer petals being violet, blue, yellow, green orange and red. The throat chakra is mostly blue but also has some green and violet as well. If it wasnt decided to select the colours of the rainbow to represent the chakras, you can see it would cause much confusion as people would be drawing them in all different colours and getting what chakras are what confused, at least with the current system one can easily know which a person is refering too. To see a chakra they look like extremely beautiful mandalas to me, far more beautiful and complex than any drawings one sees can show them to be. If you want to activate a chakra more you do not need to think of any colours at all and can just simply focus attention on the chakra.

There is a chakra at the feet or just below the feet, if they were aiming for that I don't know. You actually have 240 chakras I think that extend all the way outside your body and into the field around you. If your just talking energy centers in the body, their are 72000 nadhis (channels) in the body and currents outside the body. It is very strange though that they move the energy up the center of the body. I have had a kundalini awakening and I was terrified to do this ritual: afraid that I would excite the energy in my body. It has it's applications. We have a toroidal field around our body and energy does get 'caught' and 'stuck' (stagnant energy) in it.

At 16:33 (Question: Is it possible the two systems are closely related with regard to the diagrams being the chakra diagram on the left and the Tree of Life interposed atop the Human figure on the left?) In my view, no they aren't. Right away, I see something amiss with respect to the color attributes of the chakra system and the color attributes of the Tree of Life. Color, in the chakra system, is a rate of vibration. Green appears physically green because of its vibratory rate when seen in the light. Green is the rate of vibration corresponding to the Heart chakra or energy center and at the Throat chakra that energy center vibrates at a higher rate, Blue. The Third eye chakra and the color Purple is Purple because it physically vibrates at its own natural rate, and so on. Moving over to the Tree of Life placements we see Purple at the solar plexus. It is known that the energy center of the solar plexus doesn't reach the vibratory rate of Purple representing higher consciousness. The Yellow / Orange solar plexus is the seat of lower consciousness or the "flight or fight" trigger center of Humans. I disagree with the placement of Malkuth at the feet of the Human (because the feet are what touches the Earth?) In my view, Malkuth, Brown, would be best attributed to the entire physical body including all the chakra energy centers of the physical body of which the energy centers exist as sub-sets. Thoughts?

Thank you!! Great explanation and a great video! I understood more after watching this. My path started and developed with the chakra system. I just started to look into the tree ( read promethea and watching a course). Yes there might be similarities at a frist glance, but there are a lot of ifs and buts. Malkuth looks like the earth chakra (the are muich more chakra not just 7), or it could just be asociated with the legs chakras. Kether could be the 8th chakra or could be the monad-higher self chakra. BUt at the same time could be on a more subtle level like the hara line- dantiens is... and so on...Anyway i look foward to experience more of this dimension of the tree of life. It seems more of an intelectual style system. Although this could be beacause i just started with it. ;)

I know because I've engaged in some of this. I wouldn't put a Mustang carburator on a Camaro and expect it to run properly. But then if one doesn't know what running properly looks like......

The neurological Nano glands from where the energy of the chakras are emitted are shaped like tiny oblique spheroids and are aligned, each emits a rotating toroidal magnetic field, each of these create a geometric pattern which is in direct correspondence to both the colour and sound frequency it emits. This is more important for people to understand who call themselves new agers etc, as many want the whole 3rd eye chakra opening and so watch UA-cam video's that attempt to teach them how, this is a forced action and will simply shut down, and this is why, The pattern or geometry created by the field of the Root is directly linked to the crown via neurological pathway, the signal causes the crow chakra to begin rotating, from this point and the root each field interlocks with the next torus which, the correspondence that is gathered increases by the golden mean ratio as does everything, and is the nature of fractality itself, every time another Chakra is stimulated it has to be embedded into it's interlocking of phases, as it not only prepares the system internally to accept the ne3xt, but all you experience through feeling thought and insightful visualisation, also prepares you mentally for the next, it gives you a kind of understanding of what to expect without spoiling the experience, so to speak, so you remain relaxed but focused and so the experience is felt and also and above all understood, with the inner knowing of how you operate, energetically and beyond.
