- Join me on a summers weekend to the beautiful city of Olsztyn, part of Poland's lake district you find a wonderful mixture of nature, history and architecture in this regions capital!
Brit in Poland is the genuine account of a British Expat who lives in Warsaw, through this account I want to show people what it is like to live abroad, to educate people about the country of Poland, to tell the history of Poland and to show off what this place has to offer, providing guides to locations I have visited and experiences I have taken part in.

My home town... i was born in Olsztyn... my childhood.... and now I live in Liverpool... more than 14 yrs.....

Olsztyn is the most beautifully situated Polish city.Only one thing I don't like is the prison wall on the centre.
I was born,and breed in Olsztyn.
I remember having a lovely weekend there, loved the natural integration of the parks into the centre and the lakes 😁

Beautiful German city of Allenstein in East Prussia.
where the iron manhole covers are the original Prussian ones still ! and on my last visit in the mid 70's I observed a large building in the center with a frieze of Jewish "Stars of David" along the top floor still in good condition I wondered if anybody else noticed, what it represented and their fate of its poor occupants.
