Not all dust was on the card before it arrived at PSA or where ever you send it. I've heard graders say they don't deduct for dust on a card. If you give me a bad grade for dust that happened to fall on the card at your building... you can F off. lol I pay 30+ dollars to get something graded, you should professionally clean the surface before you grade. The whole grading system is a huge scam. Should be a flat fee to get graded, not $ based.
LMAOOO this intro had me in stitches… me and my best buddy just got into collecting and we were JUST having an argument about moving a few thousand dollars worth before we break any more boxes 😂 it’s a real struggle, spend thousands on boxes and then panic over the price of penny sleeves ahahah Edit: because I forgot to add we are also currently smashing McDs iced coffee. Just perfect
Great content and advice... before i just sent my cards without paying attention to all those pointers. Learned the hard way after spending lots of $ for 8.5 and 9 returns. Great video.
I have a lot of cards that I have acquired over the years. I have tons of cards that are over 70 years old. Of course they are not in mint condition because my great grandfather played with them when he was a kid. Now some of them, for something that is 70 years old, are in pretty good shape. But I have heard that it just doesn't matter how old the card is, a bent corner is a bent corner. So is worth sending a 1951 Willie Mays card in to get a 5 back (or less). Your thoughts please.
Awesome video. I didn't realize grading cards had so many factors. That Mint case does look nice, I'm gonna be looking for them as a top grader in the future.
Great video - learned a ton! How many points would you say would get deducted if the card has a tiny crease? Its not terrible, but it is visible upon closer inspection with the naked eye.
I always put a soft sleeve over my card in a mag. So i have protection over the card surface between the card, and the hard plastic of the mag. I always fear that hard plastic sitting on the surface, and scratching the card
Wow, some good advice, Will have to buy one of those lamps to check some of my cards out ($35 on amazon by the way). Also glad to see more Canadian content out there.
I just had a Melo Silver Prizm come back a psa 10 with a very visible print line on the back… they are more lenient with the a print line on the back than they have been in the past
Does it matter if the small ding is in front or back of the card? I have a ja card that unfortunately has a small ding in the back. Thank you guys for feedback!
One thing you got wrong is the endorsement of one touches. The space where the corners aren't touching anything have to contend with this little thing called gravity. They sink and its makes indentations on the card. Takes awhile but it definitely happens.
PSA Graders are people who found a way to devalue card holders, and get their hands in the cookie jar... Back in the days it was about if the buyer liked what they were buying eye balling the cards only... Was up to the buyer and seller, and not a middle man... Rip offs...
Does he work for that new grading company with the green leaf ? No wonder why peps say it's the hardest grading company to get a 10. U would have 2 be a ant 2 catch those infractions lol
A 9 is a raw card? That makes no sense.. an 8 is a raw provided centering surface and corners are mint... just because it came from a fresh pack it's a 9? Don't get your justification
There’s 80% of card’s from the factory are not gem mint especially got 9s especially 90s inserts or vintage with the cutting get a guy like that at psa and lmk .no hard feelings atleast someone is trying to make a video towards grading so that’s good
when you open the pack it allready a have damage dent dirt i saw the video how they handle the card in the company not that carefull 😅 you paid for a high price i open many pack that have damage line dent
@@adamgerace2959 not true in all cases PSA is better in some Cases but not others , besides remember when you grade a card with PSA you are looking for a PSA10 and if it is not then Value is huge deference but when you grade with BGS or Mint you hope to get a BGS 10 or black but if you dont then a 9.5 will be just fine .
always been a Fan of your work Guys and am sure allot of people feel the same way . glad to help and be part of it.

Absolutely! Part II coming tomorrow
Great video. Frank is awesome.

This helped alot. I subscribed
Amazing 👏 thanks
And 2 years later look how Zion has faded
Agreed. Mitch doesn't think so, but I definitely do
Thanks
Best youtube channel around!
Appreciate it! :) Keep Stacking
This guy lost me after he said that all cards come out mint from the pack.
he said sell you the card as mint in pack, we all know it doesn't happen.
Lost me with that ear piece and ice coffee
Thanks for the grading advice
Great stuff here! Thanks so much. Just starting out. Sooo much to learn.
Great video thanks for sharing
Great video nice to see a Canadian show on cards. If your going to sell or flip. Do you send to MNT or PSA or?
I’m also curious about this! We’re considering MNT right now especially because of PSA grading being impossible to get at the moment

Great video man!
Yo, do print lines in the back of cards affect much the grading score or they just dont pay much attention as long is not on the front?
Print lines on the back will definitely effect the grade negatively

A ding will impact the grade negatively regardless if it’s on the front or back
Awesome!!😎
You can still get a BGS 9.5 with a surface ding

I dont like one touches
What’s the name of the magnifier?

what is the Lamp used ?
Should I get Ronald Acuna Jr Topps Chrome rookie graded
Depends on if you want to and what you think it might grade
I think I am gonna get it graded
I have a card that has two edges that r chipping. everything thing else is good what grade might it get
8
If I saw a single tiny piece of chipping in my card should I just not send it for grading? Thanks
Your call. The corners likely wouldn't get a 10. What I consider tiny might not be what you or the grader does. Always a risk.
@@redcapesports yes cause I saw a video of a @1986 MJ came straight from the pack and was graded 4 by PSA. The card has a dent at the bottom.
76 zions lol good luck with those
I will believe it when the one who will grade it is a computer or machine.
Don't they grade cards out of the sleeve? What if there's a flay in the sleeve? lol
hes wrong graded 8 is raw price low to highest
Does he work for that new grading company with the green leaf ? No wonder why peps say it's the hardest grading company to get a 10. U would have 2 be a ant 2 catch those infractions lol
How much is that rookie acuna worth
Which one? The Topps Chrome?
@@redcapesports the one in the intro/ the one sitting on frony
Great Vid Also Buy a Grademaster on eBay. 😎
For someone who's job is to inspect minuscule scratches on a card he sure dont mind dragging the graded cards on a wooden surface
If all cards from the pack are mine, all of my cards are 9s and 10s
This thing will magnify up to 5000x ? Lmao
Over 2:00 in and still no content worth a shit at all. Noone has time like this to waste my man. Thanks anyway.
FYI good guidelines for modern cards, pre 1986 cards nope

This is for bgs psa is better
The process for identifying cards remains the same. We recommend BGS and PSA
Red Cape Sports psa 10 is more valuable than bgs 9.5
