I just finished binge watching the series for the first time.... I did not expect a show that started as Halo Machinima to make me cry or laugh anywhere near as much as RvB did, and this song will forever remind me of those times
+Silenced Games That's a pretty difficult wish when every model and texture in the show is from Halo, but I understand what you mean. RvB is an amazing story on it's own right, going so far beyond fan animation and fan fiction the story could easily have survived on it's own even if they'd had to create their own lore and world to do it

When my family notices I’m acting sad all the time they ask me if I just watched season 13 again and I say yes and they are like that’s what I thought. Now it’s time for me to cry myself to sleep listening to this song and thinking about how there probably won’t be another good season after 17 cause zero sucks...😭
Awe sweet, you have a UA-cam now! I love the original version, but this was a great redux. Already bought the soundtrack. Can't wait until next season!
I had this song recommended to me yesterday. Cue my surprise that it was written for that old comedy machinma series from back in my high school days. I guess I'll have to give RvB a second shot!
Yeah you should definitely give RVB another shot I think you might be fairly surprised and shocked and hey when you finish it let me know what you think

Funny enough most of the people in my life dont know my taste in music often i put this as well as a few others on. This song to me at least reminds me of a lover who died in my arms. The emotion in this song is rare. Nice eork to the band.
Even though most come from Red vs Blue I just want to say this band is very good and has a lot of talent so keep going with it. As for the red vs blue yes it was a sad ending but it needed to happen and if you watch this video you might realize this is talking about a cold war.
I personally think this song is more about Washington than locus because the original version of this song (just called "contact") was released on the season 11 soundtrack. To me, the lyrics really speak to washs emotional distress as he was trying to get himself and his friends rescued after their ship crashed so I always link the song back to him (I also link it back to church because "contact final transmission" played during his final scene)
@@Tom-oz7wk the line “we are green and grey” clearly shows that the song is talking about Locus. There’s also references to both Locus and Felix. “Longness of semper” is talking about Locus’ need to follow orders. “Your name’s in the sky, 90 feet high” is referring to Locus’ admiration of Felix. The numbers 2, 4, 1, 10 has a number of possible meanings including a hex colour. Colour 024110 is a dark green similar to Locus’ colour scheme. There’s a lot more in this song about Locus that any other character and the versions change ever so slightly to reflect how Locus views himself and Felix
@@caelanathey124 I thought the hex colour thing had been disproven (I'm probably remembering that wrong). I think 2 4 1 10 is a distress signal or something similar which is why it links to Wash so well because he kept radioing for help in season 11. I should probably say that I don't mean to argue. These are just my opinions and there's every chance I'm factually wrong but I feel like the lyrics really tie in to wash's story nicely. I also can't say you're wrong because fact or opinion, you make some really good points
@@Tom-oz7wk as far as i know there’s been no solid evidence to prove that it is UNSC code. That said one of the main theories being that it is code for position compromised and personally i do think this is correct but i also think they could’ve intentionally used those numbers. The numbers appear in the song Armonia and given what happened there it’s the most likely explanation for them. As for it being Wash i don’t think that’s true. In season 11 Washington had nobody to contact about the attack by the Feds so it doesn’t make sense. The meaning behind the numbers is Locus radioing for help during the battle that he and Felix fought in, one of the worst battles in UNSC history. Eruption Fang has a really good video on it that breaks down the meaning of the song
@@caelanathey124 so I Googled it and 2 4 1 10 are ASCII characters (whatever that means). They're control characters for transmit and repeat. I dunno what you mean about wash and the feds, I'm referring to the episodes in the season where wash is trying to fix and use the radio to let someone know their ship had crashed. Id say the transmit and repeat applies to this part of the story and his attempt at sending out a distress call. I hadn't thought about the use of the numbers in Armonia and I think your explanation fits better than mine for that one. (Also do you know what the words in Armonia are spelling out because I'd be interested to know what the message of that song is)
This song is etched into my brain. It's so beautiful at the credits of season 13. I legit cried as a kid watching it. RvB should have stopped after that.
This is the last time we will see Church because Alpha and the other AI fragments died in the Freelancer EMP and Epsilon fractured himself to keep Meta Tucker alive and he basically disintegrated himself
At the end of a recent Rooster Teeth podcast a remix of Contact was played and I was wondering if anyone knows how to find it. It sounded slowed down and electronic and it had Tex giving her "Don't say goodbye" speech played over the top.

The End, Episode 20 of Season 13 of Red vs Blue. That finale. I cry everytime
R.I.P Epsilon/Alpha/Church. He will always be remembered
im with caboose, he will always be church to me
I just love this song so much. It's so beautiful written and her voice just perfectly matches the mood. I've been listening to this song on repeat for about 30mins now
Hey, Guys. If you're hearing this, it means u did it. U won. U kicked the shit of Hargove's forces. I knew u could. But this is my last stop. See, when I came into this world, I was really just a collection of somebody else's memories. "But with your help, these memories, they... they took form. They became *my* voice, *my* personality. And , after a while, I... I began to make new memories of my own. All of these things are what make me who I am. But they're also holding me back. I can run this suit as Epsilon. But if I erased my memories, if I deconstruct myself, the fragments are leap behind will have the strength to get you through this. I believe that. I wish there was another way. I'm leaving this message, as well as others, in the hopes that you'll understand why I have to go this time. Eheh, it was- it was actually *Doyle*, who made me realize something I'd never thought of before. There are so many stories where some brave hero decide to give their life to save the day, and because their sacrifice, the good guys son, the survivors all cheer, and everybody loves happily ever after." But the hero never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if they're sacrifice actually made a difference. They never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. "Ain't that a bitch."
Such a beautiful song. Thanks for posting. *sniffle*
Dont say goodbye...
I hate goodbyes......
coming here to listen after restoration
Her voice is so beautiful. I love this band so much!
I just wanna cry and cry and cry. I love this show and I cry every time and get depressed for a week every time I repay him the series. When my family notices I’m acting sad all the time they ask me if I just watched season 13 again and I say yes and they are like that’s what I thought. Now it’s time for me to cry myself to sleep listening to this song and thinking about how there probably won’t be another good season after 17 cause zero sucks...😭
what a beautiful song
I've listened to this so much recently, it's such good song even without the memories attached to it
R.I.P Epsilon/Church. no one can replace him.
Are you sure about that
Awe sweet, you have a UA-cam now! I love the original version, but this was a great redux. Already bought the soundtrack. Can't wait until next season!
I don't think there is going to be a next season
+Neven Kline Got confirmed that there's two more
Gorgeous video to an amazing song.
This... Was... Fantastic! LIKE
I had this song recommended to me yesterday. Cue my surprise that it was written for that old comedy machinma series from back in my high school days. I guess I'll have to give RvB a second shot!
Yeah you should definitely give RVB another shot I think you might be fairly surprised and shocked and hey when you finish it let me know what you think

Wonderful music.
Beautiful song for Locus. #RvB
Go home
Two mercs four followers 1 Alpha 10 Reds and Blues
this is a really good rendition. I think both are great but the singer here just nails it. this is my go to song now.
Funny enough most of the people in my life dont know my taste in music often i put this as well as a few others on. This song to me at least reminds me of a lover who died in my arms. The emotion in this song is rare. Nice eork to the band.
to the greatest leader of them all, to our church, to the reds and the blues, too the best of us
For ever and always, you will mean more to me than you know, thank you gor your art
chills...
Those things in the sky, 90 feet high, contact….
Perfection.
*Aint that a bitch....*
The only words that brought me to tears
Oh my god. So beauty
The song is beautiful and the video is nice. Well done.
Love it!

I don't see this song as reminding me of the end of a season, I see it as the end of the show.
this video deserves more views than it has
We've been here so long
such sad rvb memories associated with this song i cried through like this whole thing
amazing. your voice is amazing. i cried the first time i heard this on RvB. not Final Transmission, but Redux
That was beautiful! Great video!
perfect.
Even though most come from Red vs Blue I just want to say this band is very good and has a lot of talent so keep going with it. As for the red vs blue yes it was a sad ending but it needed to happen and if you watch this video you might realize this is talking about a cold war.
I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain this song was written for the show...
@@rexedous3908 yeah
Watch eruptionfangs video on this song and you will realize it was based on the show not a war
this is in no way at all related to the cold war. Quite literally all of the lyrics are references to red vs blue.
I don't understand but...this is my favorite song. Ever. Why? Someone tell me why.
I love this version of Contact.
I can imagine Jacob Keys desperately fighting the flood only to be defeated and absorbed into the Proto - Gravemind with this song in the background
I'm Crying again
Damn, Nico lookin' sharp!
“don't say goodbye, I hate goodbyes...”
I love how people instantly link this song to Church's death but in reality the song is about Locus
(Also do you know what the words in Armonia are spelling out because I'd be interested to know what the message of that song is)
About RWBY V7
2 Brothers that left a Remnant World
4 Team members who came a long way
1 Head Master that came back
And 10 fugitives that left Atlas
This isint remotely related to rwby dumbass
Meredith Hagan best sing right here
Locus's realization...
Is this about RvB or NASA?
RvB ;-;
Specifically, it's about the RvB character Locus.
well yes but actually no
Both
ASNA
We're making it out of blood gulch with this one! 🔥 🔥 🔥
This song is etched into my brain. It's so beautiful at the credits of season 13. I legit cried as a kid watching it. RvB should have stopped after that.
eh, season 14 deserved to exist but everything after that should have not.
I love RvB so much but it's got me so freaking depressed.
Very good! Full support to it! ^^
This is the last time we will see Church because Alpha and the other AI fragments died in the Freelancer EMP and Epsilon fractured himself to keep Meta Tucker alive and he basically disintegrated himself
Goddamn I love this song.
Felix, will be forgotten
Locus, will be wrong.
You ever wonder why we’re here?
We’ve been here so long...
Rest in peace andersmith.
Which one?
@@Archive_7802 Both of them, now. One never existed, one was voiced by someone whose good persona never really existed.
Shout out to my main man nico. Got to meet him at rtx this year :)
Red vs Blue hasn’t been Red vs Blue since Epsilon said “Ain’t that a Bitch?” 😥 series died after this song finished playing after that episode
Season 17 was a masterpiece though
Ough I love the space program footage
At the end of a recent Rooster Teeth podcast a remix of Contact was played and I was wondering if anyone knows how to find it. It sounded slowed down and electronic and it had Tex giving her "Don't say goodbye" speech played over the top.
8Rincewind no can you give me the link to the podcast?
Came here from Archiveofourown fanfiction RWBY yangxblake Contact by Odin_Crusades fanfiction writing love this song now and downloading it
Church then: I hate you the most
Church now: I hate you the least
(I literally cried when I first saw that scene)
