I don’t understand the question 🤷🏻♀️ you do realize this is the *pre* - Broadway musical version, right? So technically the “final” version is what you hear on the 1997 original broadway cast album 💿
This should have stayed in the show. I hope that they use it on the 25th anniversary tour. I prefer this than the Broadway version. It explains a lot about Lucy and hyde's relationship
I like how in the first verse Robert takes a pause before announcing his name. Every single version of the musical has Edward Hyde choosing his name almost as if it’s natural. As he’s had it for years. In this case he has to consider WHAT to call himself and that makes it more realistic. Even the disaster that was David Hasselhoff’s performance follow that pattern. Brilliant with the bar fight.
Okay so at 3:54, Hyde sits similarly to a bird perching. As a cosplayer, namely a cosplayer who cosplays from this show, I tried to sit like that in costume. I did not fall, but my god was it uncomfortable. How the fuck does he do that? I get why he did it for short amounts of time, but ow my back and legs. Edit: It’s a little less uncomfortable now, but it’s still uncomfortable as I have issues with my back and hip.
I want the old version back!!! The one from 20 years ago...It's infinitely better than any of the remakes! I hope J&H doesn't fall into the George Lucas trap...;)
It's very different from Broadway version, they cut so many scenes, and songs! I think this version is way better, tell me, can you please find "Bring on the men"? Thank you!!! P.S; I love your videos!!!!
Is Robert shorter than Linda or is this some kind of optical illusion? Like are they making Hyde appear shorter as in the book? Or am I just seeing things XP
I love this version and saw it live. Wish they had done the Broadway version more like this one. I'm still hoping for the show to be reprised with original characters so they can do a proper film version.

HIs shoes look very flat and he's crouching.
This version of the show is way better than the version that opened on Broadway. I've heard that the Robin Phillips, the Broadway director, wanted a less dark 'family-friendly' version of Jekyll and Hyde, which is why the show underwent such drastic rewrites before opening on Broadway. I never understood why they brought in another director for Broadway instead of just transfering Gregory Boyd's original production there.
@crawlfan No, there was a reprise version of Alive that was the last song in Act 1, right before intermission. Its when Hyde confronts the priest on the ramp. He crosses himself as he sings.
KingNazaru i,m sorry i hate him constantine was a better jekyll and hyde wish i could see the live videos again but youtube being what it is took them down . but i think warlow is getting to much damn attention
I like this better than the version that was officially done on Broadway. I have the DVD with David Hasselhoff, and I found that there just wasn't enough depth for me, but this has much more depth. It's just much more engaging.
Are there anymore scenes you could share from this production? Alive reprise, Confrontation, Dangerous Game, Murder Murder etc. Anything would be highly appreciated.
I truly believe it's a sin that this wasn't in the final version. The tension, the danger... it's a great introduction to Hyde!
It was a great introduction to me, wasn't it?
On the other hand, at least in the other version the pederast priest got the living shit kicked out of him and set on fire
This was in the final version…?

David Hasselhoff’s performance WAS a disaster. Especially Dangerous Game.
It wasn’t that bad. His confrontation was honestly pretty good.
Anthony Warlow's Version is kinda excusable since his Alive takes place after Lucy Meets Hyde so by that point he already had the name

As a child I used to sit like that
This version is amazing, because it mix 3 song of the show : alive, lucy meet Hyde and Alive (reprise). Thank you very much for this new video !

The Jekyll musical wiki is worth a read it shows just how much the show changed since the mid -80s.
This is like the only video I can find of people actually singing Lucy Meets Hyde
The Broadway Revival starring Constantine Maroulis actually features part of Lucy Meets Hyde
6:00-6:05 "No one touches Hyde!"
I like this Cuccioli better than the one on Broadway.
I don’t like the Broadway version 😭
...WOW... I loved the whole Barroom brawl sequence, wish it was kept in there
It's very different from Broadway version, they cut so many scenes, and songs! I think this version is way better, tell me, can you please find "Bring on the men"? Thank you!!!
P.S; I love your videos!!!!
Man, I loved the original tour! They should have incorporated more of it into the b'way production.
Still a shame they cut half of it out. Wish there was a video of the original!

Thank you so much for posting this, I have waited so many years to see this staging of it again
1:20 I want this as my ringtone
Ahhh Linda!!!! Love her and of course Robert Cuccioli is awesome too :) Thanks for posting!

Oh my god this is amazing!! Do you have more clips or even the whole show of this production? Thank you so much !!
Mm, wouldn't mind if he touched or held me like this: 4:33 - 5:20! I wouldn't let him stop.

That and Anthony Warlow should reprise as Jekyll and Hyde.
+KingNazaru mmmmm i think not this is my opinion but i hate warlow he is not that good
Are you fucking serious? Anthony Warlow is irrefutably the best Jekyll and Hyde.
KingNazaru i,m sorry i hate him
constantine was a better jekyll and hyde wish i could see the live videos again but youtube being what it is took them down . but i think warlow is getting to much damn attention
He's getting attention because Anthony Warlow is THE best. Everyone else was just decent or terrible.

This. Man. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@kriitikko You know? I thought of that too. I Think because she's wearing heels, he just looks shorter (:
i would love to see this version with Rob Evans. Does anyone have the full version of this?
Ah Rob Cuccioli!
@crawlfan Its all good! I haven't watched this video in over 5 years....I'm surprised I remember that part.
Can you please post "Alive - Reprise?" That was amazing!
Omigod. I love you . Thank you so much!
Sorry for the double post....Doh !
Please can you post confrontation? :D
DANGEROUS GAME NEXT !
Dr. Henry Jekyll y Mr. Edward Hyde ❤❤❤
@AlexiaDark Oh, god. You and me both! *clings to Hyde* Mine.
Can you post a video of the reprise? I'm curious to see how the fire effect was achieved.
***** Oh wow, I guess that was an improvement in the Broadway production.
LOL! COOL! 2nd person 2 c this! That's a first!
O! AND I'M THE 1st person 2 comment!!!
When do we see the reprise?
This is Rob Evans the u/s. He eventually played the role on Broadway.
i like the broadway production 100 times more
