In fact I'm a hymn lover and, listening to hymns sung by choirs that love The Lord, elevates me to a different level- something I cannot explain- In simple terms, they get me closer to JESUS. Thank you classic hymns for bringing out this masterpiece in a very classic way. So well organized and I'm sure you must have spend a lot of effort in getting the choir perform specially this Handel's Masterpiece. All the singers are involved so well....I'm short of words....All I can say is Stay blessed and blessed and continue to sing and praise Jesus from your hearts. In fact I've all the DVDs and CDs whichever you had brought out in these forms - all purchased from ELS Chennai. This particular song is not that easy to sing and from and organizer point of view to organize. It involves, time, effort and a lot of patience and above all THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS. Thank you for your reply. May you and your family stay blessed as you bring out more and more hymns that touch the hearts of humble believers like me...

Your choir is well trained and experienced.. They have memorized their parts and can sing them at a lively tempo. Everyone wants to sing the Hallelujah Chorus, but most don't reach the level Handel had in mind to capture the worship at the heavenly throne. I believe you caught the life, joy and beauty of the beatific vision.
@Konstantin Ridaya Handel wrote the piece for the less skilled choristers of Dublin. It takes a conductor who doesn't mind teaching and drill. Speed and fluency are a biproduct of work. The conductor who just expects the chorus to open their parts and sight-sing is lazy and will achieve the performance he or she deserves, but treats the chorus without respect.

@@IvanIvanov-vy7pt Keep your eye to the heavens , and over time, the earth will satisfy less and less. Time is catching up with the body. I have sung Messiah several times with community choirs. Part memorization was never required, so at performance, members still struggled with parts and did not watch the conductor or listen to orchestra or other choristers. In Heaven, that is how all will sing, plus on-key in perfect pitch! Happy Christmas to you and yours.
