I did this last month...hardest thing I've ever done! Within about 1 minute of hitting the slope and that soft grey sand, I was thinking "I can't do this...".
Oldest one to reach the summit in our group though :D

The Tajumulco volcano close to the border with mexico is the tallest in Guatemala about 14,000 feet tall. I'm glad you all had a safe hike. Thanks for sharing.
