    think running these longer sprints will really pay dividends in the long run looking forward to opening up a the start of May. goal is to get my fastest opener ever sub 11 opener would be nice but will gauge how I'm feeling of the next 8 weeks of training in the run up to the comp. Solid start just gotta keep building on the momentum of indoor season :D

    I'm just picking up with your Sub 11s series, great job man. You're the definition of an athlete! I've been coaching speed and jumps for the last five years, and I'm currentlly on my Sub 11 journey as well. My goal is the same as yours, that 1912 WR (10.6s). If you need any help with coaching or training management, hit me up! I'm graduated in Sports Training Science and coached some national chapions and state record holders, will be glad to help!

    Any tips to gain strength over off season? Trying to get my lifts up especially cleans and squat and I noticed your very strong

    • @camyjumps
      @camyjumps  5 місяців тому

      Just get strength and that takes care of the rest honestly. Getting strong takes years of work since as athletes we can only focus on it for so long the best tip I can give is make sure the strength is transferring athletically to sprints and jumps not all strength gains are created equally :)

    Hey man, I'm a freshman who runs the 100m in 13 seconds flat, what should I be doing to get faster on the off season?

    • @camyjumps
      @camyjumps  5 місяців тому

      Quite a nuanced question tbh since it’s based on you as an individual but just general work on speed, get stronger and be consistent and you can for sure drop your time significantly!

    What app do you use to track your times?

    • @camyjumps
      @camyjumps  5 місяців тому

      Freelap timer (it’s a system)

    when doing triple broad jumps you should not just measure the total length. instead use total length/time. It nearly has a perfect corelation with the 10m time.
    This methode includes ground contact time wich is crucial.

    • @camyjumps
      @camyjumps  6 місяців тому

      I wanna measure this now, when do you start the time though?

    • @Leonidas-eu9bb
      @Leonidas-eu9bb 6 місяців тому

      @@camyjumps good question. In classic jumps i woud from the beginning of a visible concentric motion. You could also do this from the starting block. This would be easier to measure and more specific.

    Appreciate you taking the time to bring the voiceover back! I also like the concept of you talking during the actual workout between sets, adds a lot of value to the videos to hear what your thinking. Good luck on your Journey
