A dark, beautiful, distorted reinvention, the likes of which has never been seen from a band that was/is the biggest rock band in the world. The album was heavy with the subject of Edge’s divorce at the time. Flood is a god IMO.
Since you reacted to this , You might as well check out the Achtung Baby album because it truly is something special from getting the Joshua Tree that is a masterpiece in itself to getting another masterpiece called Achtung Baby
It looks like you have not listened to anything by Shocking Blue yet. Most people would suggest you listen to Venus, their #1 hit single from 1970. To be different, and because Halloween is on its way, I would suggest you listen to Demon Lover by Shocking Blue. (On some releases of the song it was spelled Daemon Lover. Not sure how come.)
If you want some heavy music, you should seriously check out "Memory Hole" by Mutoid Man. They're a 3 piece band and this song is from last year, they're they're excellent blend of early Mastodon, hardcore and stoner rock. Not too screamy either, probably about 85% cleans on this particular song. Definitely should check it out if you want something unique

Deep cut from Achtung Baby, their second masterpiece. Another two you absolutely need to hear are Acrobat and Love is blindness.

One of their best songs on a brilliant album. So cruel is perfectly placed at the turn from side 1 to side 2 of achtung baby.
This is one of U2's most beautiful songs. The lyrics are just heartbreaking. Daniel Lanois's production is so layered and atmospheric.
